It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: An Exclusive Season 4 DVD Clip

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, FX, DVD, Video,
Not yet ready for tonight’s premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Then maybe this video will get you warmed up.
In this exclusive clip from the program’s Season 4 DVD package, Dennis Reynolds (actor Glenn Howerton) does his best Alistar Cooke to present a unique rendition of his steamy memoir. (I’m not entirely sure Masterpiece Theater ever looked like this.) This bonus feature from the three-disc set is a companion piece to last October’s episode: “Dennis Reynolds: An Erotic Life.”
Season 5 of Philadelphia airs Thursdays @ 10:00 on FX. You can also pick up Season 4 which was just released on DVD this week..

Rescue Me to End in 2011

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, FX, Cancellations, News, Renewals,

Some good news and bad news for followers of Rescue Me. The FX series about New York City firefighters has just been granted a 7th season. Unfortunately, that will also be the program’s last.
The timing of the show’s end has been carefully thought out. The final hours will air in 2011—the year we
commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
“Within the next couple of weeks, we’re going to begin shooting the last 19 episodes, which will be the final two seasons of the show,” co-creator and executive producer Peter Tolan said.
Rescue Me‘s current season will wrap on up on September 1.

For the second year in a row, Mad Men, with its 16 nominations, topped all drama programs. Meanwhile, 30 Rock broke comedy records with a whopping 22 noms. Overall, HBO was the most-nominated network with 99 mentions while NBC - yes, NBC - came in second.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris on Sept. 20 on CBS.
