Don’t act surprised. Rumor has it that the woman who resigned as Alaska’s governor has decided to walk away from her TLC reality show.

It seems that Sarah Palin’s Alaska -- which was based on enjoying everything the state has to offer -- has reached the end of its one-season run. TLC just might have to give Kate Gosselin another show.

TLC has offered no official comment, but producer Mark Burnett has not returned to Wasilla, Alaska to begin work on Season 2. The show nabbed 3.2 million viewers with its premiere, big numbers for cable, and sources say that Palin enjoyed making the show.

So why would she quit while she’s ahead? Most are speculating that the former politician wants to be ready for the upcoming election season, and she just can’t commit to reality TV and being the next president all at the same time.

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

MONDAY (1/10)

  • Inside the Actors Studio (Bravo, 8 P.M.): "James Lipton conducts an interview with actor and funnyman , star of The Truman Show (1998), Man on the Moon (1999) and the Ace Ventura films." This would be an example of a "yes man" interviewing the Yes Man.
  • Lie to Me (FOX, 8 P.M.): "When Cal (Tim Roth) is asked to determine if a mental hospital patient is being held against his will he begins to question his own sanity." When you go from Reservoir Dogs to a television series, it's natural to question yourself occasionally.
  • Castle (ABC, 10 P.M.): "Castle and Beckett interview a top magician (Gilles Marini) after the owner of a magic store drowns in Houdini's legendary water torture tank." Now that's a man who can make magic happen.

“What is this Betty White business?” the actress demanded of The Hollywood Reporter recently.

“You’ve had an overdose of me. I think I’m going away for a while.”

Noooo!!

“It’s hard for me to say ‘no’ to a job, because you spend your career thinking if you say no to a job they’ll never offer you another one,” she explained. “But I’m trying to cut down, I really am.”

But don’t worry, White will be featured on Hot in Cleveland’s upcoming season, where she’ll reunited (for one episode at least) with former co-star Mary Tyler Moore.

Pretty Little Liars

ABC Family’s much-anticipated winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars debuted Monday night, and fans are still mystified -- though much relieved.

Hannah (Ashley Benson) isn’t dead after all, and she revealed the identify of “A” near the top of the episode: Noel Kahn (Brant Daughtery). But … is Hannah correct? It was definitely Noel who wrote “I See You” on the rear windshield of Ezra Fitz’s (Ian Harding's) car -- he admitted as much to Aria (Lucy Hale). And that still doesn’t necessarily mean he’s "A."

Viewers might have been confused on New Year’s Eve, watching the festivities as recorded by MTV.

Snooki was present in Time Square, along with her fellow Jersey Shore cast members … but wasn’t she supposed to be in New Jersey? The reality star’s ball drop did go on the air as planned -- because it was recorded the night before.

Snooki’s ball was removed from Time Square after officials decided that only one ball would be dropping in New York’s famous block. Instead, the Snooks was dropped in her own hometown of Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

You can watch the entire video above.

SnookiThere is only one New Year’s Eve ball that falls in Times Square -- and the city of New York is going to keep it that way.

The official ball drop will be officiated by Mayor Bloomberg and Dick Clark, a staple of the annual event.

MTV announced recently that Snooki, of Jersey Shore fame, would be dropping from a ball during their separate celebration, but the city wouldn’t have it.

Instead, Snooki has been moved, appropriately, to New Jersey. The ball arrived on scene early on Wednesday, with a large “Snooki” spelled out in lights affixed to it.

Who knows? Maybe New Jersey just started their own New Year’s Eve tradition.
