Changes Announced for So You Think You Can Dance

UPDATE: Lythgoe has already announced two of the veterans returning via his Twitter account: Season 4’s Twitch and Season 6’s Kathryn.
For So You Think You Can Dance‘s seventh season, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe announced a series of changes that will supposedly freshen up the show a bit…and make it more like Dancing with the Stars?
When the show returns this May, we will no longer be seeing 20 finalists competing for the dance title. The audition process will now whittle the pool down to just 10 names—five men and five women. So does this mean the series will now end a few weeks earlier than usual? No - because we will now only see 1 person eliminated a week.
Like the six previous seasons, the dancers will still perform with another person—just not a fellow competitor. The contestants will now be paired with rotating “All-Star Partners” from SYTYCD‘s past. (Those returning to the series will be revealed in the weeks to come.) Those veterans, like the ones on that ABC program, will not be the focus of the judges from —just the finalists.

Lost Producers Not Aware of Bud Light Super Bowl Commercial

Jay Leno and David Letterman’s Super Bowl commercial wasn’t the only spot yesterday to mock some television drama. ABC’s Lost also became the focus of one of Bud Light’s many ads.
Given the similarities between the actual show and the clip, you’d have thought executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof were somehow involved. Well, they weren’t—but that doesn’t mean they didn’t enjoy the commercial.

-Want to be seen on an episode of Chuck? Then start talking about it! The more times you reference the NBC series on MySpace, Facebook or Twitter, the better chance you’ll have of appearing in one of Chuck’s flashes.
-Turns out SYTYCD’s Tyce Diorio is partially to blame for that annoying I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter commercial. He choreographed it!
-Hugh Laurie is going to step behind the camera to direct his first episode of House. The actor is also an executive producer of the show.
-The Biggest Loser‘s next round will feature the series’ heaviest contender ever. The 526 lb.-contestant will be seen in the upcoming season premiering Jan. 5th.
-What’s better than speed dating? In ABC’s Conveyor Belt of Love, women can name snap judgments of men passing by quickly on…a conveyor belt.

ABC Cancels More Adam Lambert Gigs
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Late Night, Music, Talk Shows, ABC, Gossip, News,
Looks like Adam Lambert will be in ABC’s doghouse a little while longer.
The singer’s controversial number on the American Music Awards has already cost him a performance on GMA, now he’s lost two other gigs on that same network. Lambert’s previously scheduled appearance on the Dec. 17 broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live has just been dropped. A tentative booking on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is off as well.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to Be Mini-Series
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Action, Comedy, Mini Series, Sci-Fi/Horror, Announcements, Gossip, Internet, News, Rumors,
The best-selling parody of Jane Austen’s classic, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, has been given the greenlight by Deadline Productions to make a 6-part television series.
Although talks have circulated around a feature film, it looks as if the mini-series may win the race to adapt Seth Grahame-Smith’s eccentric, fan boy-pleasing novel.
Along with announcing the production news, the book’s Twitter also released possible concept art for the series (seen after the break).
No word yet as to which network is expected to pick up the series; however, it will most likely be a British one, considering the production company is UK-based. As if Sci-Fi wouldn’t love to air a ninja-induced, zombie-killing love story!

“After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I’m saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own,” Taylor wrote in an email to contacts.

Drew Carey to Pay $1M for New Twitter Account
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Gossip, Internet,
Only in Burbank. The Price is Right host Drew Carey took to Twitter after a Seattle Sounders win on October 3 (I know, I know, who? Evidently, they’re a soccer team…and evidently, Carey’s part owner) to share his joy, whereupon he discovered that the Twitter name @Drew was being auctioned off.
It was being auctioned off by Drew Olanoff, a blogger who has battled cancer. He got the idea to auction off his username, with proceeds to be sent to the LiveStrong Foundation. “I thought it was so much fun that I bid $25,000,” Carey explained to CNN. “I was in such a good mood that I raised it to $100,000.”
Hear that, soccer fans? If you want something from Drew Carey, catch him about ten minutes after the Sounders win.
