  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm):  “John discovers the figure may be bleaker than he imagined.”  I’m confused.  If he’s currently in 2007, he should have already seen what the future looks like in .
  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS, 9:30):  Season Three premiere.  “Christine gets overly nervous about sleeping with Mr. Harris () for the first time.”  I think I already saw this episode…..on .
  • Late Night With David Letterman (CBS, 11:30):  Hillary Clinton sits down with the talk show host.  Any woman who can make us forget deserves to be President.

The Season Four premiere of received a very warm welcome.  As a result, the debut of also got off to a fine start.

  • About 13.1 million got caught up with the recaps (4.9/13 in 18-49).
  • ? (10.6 million, 3.1/8) did about the same as last week.
  • * (8.8 million, 1.9/5) was up just a bit.
  • * (5.3 million, 2.2/6) started ‘s night off on a slow note; * (4.5 million, 1.9/5) went downhill from there.
  • (3.8 million, 1.6/4) looked a lot bigger this week.

Two new episodes of Chuck couldn’t help in the ratings race.  When the smoke cleared, was left standing with the viewers while was holding tight to the demos.

Wednesday Ratings: FOX Continues to Ride Idol’s Wave

Another night with means another win for .  Even if the other networks had formed an alliance, their numbers still wouldn’t surpass the reality juggernaut.

  • (12.6/30 in 18-49) opened and closed the evening with 30.3 million viewers.  That large number was actually a 3 million decline from Tuesday’s premiere.

  • (4.9 million, 1.1/3) lost strength from last week.
  • (1.6 million, 0.7/2) was down just a tad.
