Project Runway Season 4: Sweet P Says Goodbye
Posted by Jacci Lewis Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Editorial, Features,
There was a major twist on last night’s Project Runway Season 4 on Bravo. The last runway show before the remaining designers compete at New York Fashion Week produced two clear finalists: Christian Siriano and Jillian Lewis. The third finalist is still undecided.
The judges were deadlocked over whether to go with Chris March or Rami Kashou, so they decided to let both designers create their final collections for Fashion Week. Right before the actual runway show (which, of course, has already happened), the judges will rate Chris and Rami’s three strongest pieces to decide which designer is the official, third finalist.
Unfortunately, this episode was the last hurrah for Kathleen “Sweet P” Vaughn.

‘Project Runway’ Finale: Posh Sees Clear Winner

Project Runway: Season 4 fanatics will have to wait a few more weeks to find out which designer won the big prize. But people who saw the remaining contestants’ final runway shows on the last day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City say it should be well worth the wait.
The only spoiler provided in the Bryant Park tents Friday was who will serve as the season finale guest judge: Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham.
The 1000 or so fashionistas in the crowd are none the wiser on who the finalists actually are. Since there are still two more episodes before the two-part season finale, all five remaining designers sent their collections down the runway. Two served as decoys to throw off the crowd. When the finale airs you’ll only see the three finalists’ collections.
Guest judge Victoria Beckham, a style icon known for making bold choices and setting major trends (i.e. the asymmetrical bob), said she saw a clear winner in the pack. Of the designer Beckham considers the best she says, “everything I saw I would wear myself”.
So what were the collections like? Insiders say the designers expanded on what they were already known for during Project Runway: Season 4.

Project Runway: Season 4: ‘Raw Talent’
Posted by Jacci Lewis Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable, Features,
What is the polar opposite of high fashion? I’m guessing professional wrestling after watching tonight’s episode of Project Runway on Bravo. Tonight’s challenge had the six remaining designers creating a look for the Divas of WWE. (That stands for World Wrestling Entertainment for the uninitiated.)
This challenge took the lingerie and figure skating challenges of seasons past to a whole new and tackier level. You don’t need a degree from Parsons to know that under the best of circumstances it is hard to make spandex, stretchy lace and rhinestones classy or wearable.
Despite the violence they inflict in the ring, the Divas of WWE seem like fairly nice gals. They requested outfits that best showcased their wrestling alter egos… like the sexy tomboy or sexy gold digger or my favorite: the classy sexpot.

Reality Renewals: ‘D-List’, ‘Inn Love’

After three years toiling her way through the bottom of the celebrity barrel, comedienne Kathy Griffin has not quite worked her way up. (Or so she says.) Thankfully for fans, this means another season of her Emmy-award winning series, My Life on the D-List.
While we can expect more appearances from Griffin’s usual assistants, there’s one thing we won’t see: more orchestrated blind dates like the one she had with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. Kathy - who is currently dating millionaire Steve Wozniak (Apple’s co-founder) - recently told Jimmy Kimmel that “The Woz” will be seen on the show. No return date has yet been announced for the Bravo program.

More Un-‘Real Housewives’ to Come
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable,
If you’re anything like me, you were absolutely sickened by last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. (Yes - every woman should have a nice 40th, but did Tamra really “deserve” a $40,000 Rolex for her birthday?) But Tuesday’s airing really didn’t differ from the previous episodes—nor will it keep me from watching again.
Sensing my need to know these women better, Bravo has chosen to branch out. (Now that Jeana and her husband are finally kaput, the awkwardness level has decreased a bit.) Hoping to tap into a new set of neuroses - while surviving the writers strike - the cable channel will be taking it the other coast. That’s right. We’ll soon be introduced to the The Real Housewives of New York City! In other words, expect to see more furs (less fake tans), more drivers (less convertibles) and more Broadway openings (the same amount of drunken outings).
The socialites featured in this Housewives spinoff will include a businesswoman, a former model/actress and a countess. I’m also hoping this installment will include the overworked nannies that are so lacking in the O.C. version (and the hours the mistresses spend writing ‘To Do Lists’ for the help).
Expect more head-shaking entertainment when The Real Housewives of New York City debuts on March 4.

This Week on TV (12/17-12/23)

MONDAY (12/17)
- Duel (ABC, 8pm): The first of six-airings this week. In this game show, the contestants ‘challenge each other’s intellect and skill, but a single wrong answer disqualifies them from trying for the $1.5 million prize.’ Seriously - if a show is going to be named ‘Duel’, it should involve body blows.
- Clash of the Choirs (NBC, 8pm): This four-part series brings us Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland. Surprisingly, this combo is not part of some VH1 program.
- Notes from the Underbelly (ABC, 9pm): “Eric must organize a baby party without ruining friendships.” His pals are all hoping they don’t have to come.
- Journeyman (NBC, 10pm): “Dan is sent to rescue a mother and son in an RV hanging from a cliff.” Just for clarification—do his travels always predate the existence of 911?

MONDAY (12/3)
- The Closer (TNT, 8pm): The special two-hour holiday episode brings Brenda’s parents into the investigative fold. Nothing says Christmas like talking blood with your blood.
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): (NOTE: This is the last new episode left.) ‘Peter squares off against former friends thanks to Adam’s confusing story about the Shanti virus.’ He shouldn’t fault Adam; the confusing storyline is to blame.
- K-Ville (FOX, 9pm): ‘Boulet and Cobb investigate an insurance adjuster’s murder.’ As if there weren’t enough people in New Orleans with a motive.
- Life (NBC, 10pm): (First half of the two-parter; 2nd half airs Wednesday). ‘Evidence points to Reese’s father in the murders that sent Crews to prison.’ I’m guessing this won’t be resolved anytime soon…otherwise, we wouldn’t have a show.

MONDAY (11/26)
- Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 8pm): The final three competitors dance tonight. ABC’s domination of Monday nights officially ends today.
- How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8pm): ‘Barney loses his mojo just as he gets an invite to a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show party.’ I’m willing to overlook another Heidi Klum sighting just to see Neil Patrick Harris squirm.
- Samantha Who? (ABC, 9pm): NOTE NEW START TIME.
- Notes from the Underbelly (ABC, 9:30): Season premiere. So how exactly does this show work? Does someone always have to be pregnant?
- October Road (ABC, 10pm): After it’s Thanksgiving debut, the show now slides into its regular time slot (where I predict it will soon slide right out of).
