On Gear Live: Samsung S95C: The OLED TV You Can’t Afford (to Ignore!)

Spencer Pratt did not get an invite to MTV’s big finale, but that didn’t stop him from showing up at the party anyway. While other cast members walked the red carpet, Pratt was across the street wearing a fake gray wig and beard.

claims credit for advising Pratt to wear a disguise to the event. The above video shows Hilton’s interview of the reality TV celeb.

Since I stopped watching the back around the time MTV made its first trip to New Orleans, I really can’t speak about the program anymore. That said, I have a feeling a new version of Real World: Miami would probably look something like this.

When returns on July 29, the orange-hued cast members will be taking their antics to an entirely new location. What do the “grenades” of Miami Beach have in store in for them? Preview Season 2’s “GTL” action here.

Anthony Bourdain

“Just like there’s not much music on MTV, there aren’t many chefs on . Their brand is really, I think it’s clear, not chef-driven. For a period of time, the last thing they wanted, it seemed, was anyone who actually worked in a restaurant or cooked professionally or was authoritative on the subject of food.  I think they figured out very quickly that their audience liked to look at barbecue and certain types of foods, particularly familiar ones, that they could imagine sinking their teeth into, so there’s the sort of porn aspect. Then of course, they wanted friendly familiar personalities that made them feel better about themselves.”

-No Reservations explaining why he’s not a huge fan of the Food Network. (His show airs on the Travel Channel.)

(Warning: Explicit language featured in above video clip).

It’s safe to say that MTV has moved from “edgy” to vulgar in the space of a single awards show presentation. The above clip is only one of the moments when the F-bomb slipped past the censors with incredible ease during the two-hour presentation of the , a live event which made the FCC positively crazy.

From the word go, the awards show was peppered with F-bombs. This video features Peter Facinelli, better known to fans as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, but he is certainly not the only celeb who decided to throw propriety (and federal communications regulations) out the window. The uncensored F-bomb was also slipped through censors by Get Him to the Greek star Jonah Hill, former Funky Bunch founder Mark Wahlberg, and more.

’s ensemble acceptance speech for Best Movie, led by the good doctor himself, is one to remember - and not just because the Saga took almost every award at the event.

MONDAY (5/31)
  • King of Dirt (DIY, 9pm):  “A couple celebrate their wedding anniversary by having the front yard of their home landscaped.” For their first anniversary, it was their bodies they had landscaped.
  • Kendra (E!, 10pm):  “Kendra works on her tell-all autobiography, which Hank believes is too revealing.” He thinks she should just stick to picture books.
  • True Beauty (ABC, 10pm):  Season premiere. “Ten contestants pose in lighted glass cases on the Las Vegas strip, thinking they’re competing for the title ‘The Face of Vegas,’ while actually both their outer and inner beauty are being judged.” The contestants, like Vegas, have a stylish exterior but are vacant inside.
