Oprah with January Jones and Jon Hamm

Could Oprah Winfrey do for what she does for books?

This coming Monday, the talk show hostess and her upswept hair will dedicate the entire broadcast to a particular decade. The show, entitled “Oprah Goes Back in Time: The 60s,” will include appearances from both January Jones and .

The hour will also feature items that would have been Winfrey’s favorite during that time. (I’m guessing the audience won’t want any of those freebies.)

Maybe Oprah could have Dr. Phil talk to Don Draper about his daddy issues and extramarital affairs?

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa

Dear Regis and Kelly,

I have something I really need to get off my chest. Even though I continue to watch on a fairly regular basis (usually out of habit), I find myself increasingly more annoyed as the days go by.

You can call me bitter and jealous all you want, but this is something I’ve been bothered by long before the economy started to tank. The current climate has only made it worse.

Earlier this week, I flipped on your program while Regis was talking about the AIG bonuses. Kelly followed that up with a story about a group of teachers who opted to take a 5% pay cut to help save their coworkers. That discussion then led to an unnecessary confession from Regis: He recently took a pay cut as well. (Uhh - did he want us to pat him on the back?) When the topic was redirected back to Kelly, she then joked, “Some of us don’t need a pay cut!”

Ed Doud on Oprah

We’ve heard from both Nadya Suleman and Angela Suleman. Now it’s time for the octuplets’ grandfather to speak.

In an interview to air next Tuesday, Ed Suleman admits to Oprah that he - like many others - has doubts about his daughter’s sanity. “Now I’m no psychiatrist, but I question her mental situation,” Suleman stated. And though he considers Nadya’s actions to be “absolutely irresponsible,” the 67-year-old is seeking ways to raise funds for all 14 children. Suleman currently lives in the same home as his ex-wife, Angela, and contributes to the family by working as a contractor in Iraq.
