On Gear Live: iPhone 16e Review: Apple Just Killed the Budget iPhone

Most of the SNL cast, musical guest Paul Simon, special guest Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel, to Gleeks), host Ed Helms and a member of Fleetwood Mac came together to bring us the skit above: an epic “What’s Up With That.” Bill Hader reprises his usual role as Lindsay Buckingham… only this time he’s joined by another Lindsay Buckingham! We’d like to thank sexy cowboys, California raisins and Keenan Thompson for the great video above.

NBC - The Voice

NBC has finally found a hit with The Voice, a singing competition chock-full of intriguing new gimmicks and entertaining judges (Cee Lo, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are all fantastic). Now, the fourth-place network is on a mission to do what it does best: find a way to destroy it.

Playing true to pattern, NBC will now begin shoving its popular new program down viewers’ throats. Because what works for American Idol…(works for Fox). In June, The Voice will jump from 1 hour to 2 hours, running from 9 to 11 pm.

Spoiler alert! Tuesday’s episode of The Voice will feature the next round of the competition: the sing-off. Each judge (Cee Lo, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera) must whittle their eight contestants down to four…and video evidence suggests that not everyone is please with the results.

The video above shows Christina Aguilera contestants Frenchie Davis and Taralynn Ramsey singing it out to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.” Following the number, Aguilera suffers a “minimal physical attack” from a watching audience member.

SNL welcomed Tina Fey back to the late night stage by honoring the great female writers in history. Jane Austin, Virginia Woolf and others are mentioned -- and subsequently ridiculed by Bill Hader. Watch the skit, which wasn't included in the live show, in the video above.

Host Tina Fey led a fun Mother's Day episode of SNL over the weekend. Politics were at the forefront of the night's sketches. In the above video, Fey reprises her role as Sarah Palin to participate in the Republican debates. Nobody does election season better than Saturday Night Live. Kristen Wiig, Darrell Hammond, Bill Hader, Jason Sudekis and Bobby Moynihan are also featured. Follow the jump to see a video with Fey, a huge crustacean and Osama bin Ladin's body...

President Barack Obama - White House

Around 10:45 pm EST, nearly every network and cable news network preempted regular programming to pre-announce an announcement made by the President of the United States: Osama bin Ladin is dead.

About an hour later, Barack Obama walked down the long red carpet in the wide main corridor of the White House, and stood at a podium alone to address the nation.

“It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened…” He went on the heart-wrenchingly, poetically describe the horrors of September 11, 2001, an event masterminded by Osama bin Ladin.

Paul Reiser was originally scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote his new NBC series, The Paul Reiser Show. But the network didn’t cancel his appearance after they cancelled his show. The series was nixed after just two episodes, and Reiser didn’t bother to hide his disenchantment with the network… even on one of their own shows.

“They don’t traditionally make bad decisions,” he said of the network, tongue-in-cheek, to the (current) Tonight Show host. Leno has had his own troubles with NBC, but managed to get re-hired after he was fired from his TV show. We're not sure the same will happen to Reiser.

Ed Helms, The Hangover

Hangover star Ed Helms has been booked to host the May 14 episode of SNL along with musical guest Paul Simon. Helms, who also appears on NBC’s The Office, has never hosted the show. Simon has been a frequent musical guest on Saturday Night Live (dating back to season 1) and a one-time host of the show.

Together, they’re sure to be sensational.

Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey will join the cast of The Office in a season finale guest staring stint… which means he may appear on screen with Will Ferrell. We’re laughing just to think about it.

Carrey will play someone interviewing for the management position being left behind by Steve Carell’s character, whose last episode airs next week. The hour-long finale airs on May 19.
