Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood

Kelly Clarkson thinks that Carrie Underwood would make a great judge on American Idol. The "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" hitmaker - who shot to fame after winning the inaugural season of the pop star search show in 2002 - believes the country singer would make a great addition to the panel following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Stephen Tyler. Kelly thinks Carrie - who was the winner of the fourth series of American Idol in 2005 - would be a fantastic choice because of her educational background and poker face.

When asked if Carrie would make a good judge, Kelly said, "She would! Didn't she major in journalism or something? And she can have that face ... that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good."

Michelle Williams in Dawson's CreekMichelle Williams wants to star in a Dawson's Creek reunion.

The 31-year-old actress played Jen Lindley in the teen drama - which was broadcast from 1998 to 2003 - and she would "very happily" reprise her role again, although she admits it would have to be as a ghost or in a series of flashbacks after her alter-ego died in the series.

"I would very happily do a reunion show, I don't know what it would be. My character died in the end, so there are certain limitations for me. It's either I come back as a ghost or I'm shot through a lot of gauzy, hazy light as my nineteen-year-old self," she said at Comic-Con.

Michelle believes a Dawson's Creek reunion would be a great way to "honor" the show - which followed four friends, Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), Joey Potter (Katie Holmes), Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) and Jen in the fictional seaside town of Capeside, Massachusetts - for both its stars and fans: "I've always said that I would really love to and I think independently, we've all been saying that. So at some point I hope that it does happen [as] ... a way to honor the past and what a big deal it was for the four or five of us and what a big deal it was for the people who watched it."

Jennifer LopezJennifer Lopez has strongly hinted she could quit American Idol.

The 42-year-old singer has been a judge on the talent show for the past two series, and while she has "enjoyed" being a panelist on the program "so much," the brunette beauty admits it's "maybe time" to leave to free up her schedule for movie roles and a return to performing.

"The truth is ... I've just enjoyed it so much, but I am thinking it's maybe time for me to go and do other things I really love to do like films and ... performing. This has been a great journey, but then again I really love the show so, all I can tell you is what I'm thinking."

Jennifer - who is on the panel alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson - admits it will be a "heartbreaking decision" if she does decide to quit American Idol, but she has been forced to put a number of other projects on hold to judge on the show: "[Returning to Idol has] been on my mind a lot, as you can imagine. You know, I signed on to American Idol to do one year, and ... I wound up doing the two years. And now it's like, 'OK, do we continue on this journey?' I've loved it so much. I enjoy the show so much. I enjoy just the whole process of the show and the whole thing. So it's a tough decision either way. But I have to say that there are so many other things that I do, and that I put on hold for that. At the end of the day, whichever way, it's a heartbreaking decision if I'm going to have to go."

Britney SpearsBritney Spears has blamed Demi Lovato for her shock exit from The X Factor judging panel.

The 30-year-old singer walked away from her seat on the talent show this week when a drag queen attempted to sing her 1999 hit "(You Drive Me (Crazy)." However the star says that 19-year-old Demi was her reasoning behind, leaving only Simon Cowell to watch the rest of the audition.

"I was following her. I was taking her lead. She was like, 'Let's go,' and I was like, 'Okay.' It was our break anyway. It was dinner," she said.

"I felt really uncomfortable, and I had to walk away. He [thought] that [he did] such a good job, and I felt so bad. I laughed at first, but I felt really bad," Demi explained to a Fox network affiliate.

L.A. Reid also fled his seat and went to the backstage area during the recording. The 56-year-old music mogul explained, "Oh, my god, it was just horrible. He thought he was going through. He thought that the cheers were because he was doing such a great job, when the truth is he was horrific. We just couldn't take it anymore."

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen wants to be an American Idol judge.

The Anger Management star says he would consider joining the judging panel of the singing show if the money was good enough and program bosses donated part of his salary to charity, after producer Nigel Lythgoe said he wanted him to get involved.

"If the numbers move the needle AND Idol matches 20% of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club ... then the hell with it. As we say, pour the smoke. (sic)" he said.

However, the gossip website reports that the actor would only agree to a deal if FX, which airs Anger Management, were happy with him appearing on Fox.

American Idol is currently judged by Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson and though there is speculation the panel is set for some changes, Katy Perry won't be anyone's replacement.

Khloe KardashianKhloe Kardashian is being lined up to present The X Factor.

The 28-year-old star is one of a number of big names in the running to replace Steve Jones as the host of the pop star search show, including Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez and Stacy Keibler, with boss Simon Cowell keen to have one man and one woman take on the job.

"They're doing the auditions without a host so it's no big deal they don't have hosts right now. Simon really wants to take his time. The two person thing didn't work out the first time and he wants to make sure it works this time," a source said.

Nicole Scherzinger initially hosted the show alongside Steve, but then the "Poison" singer took Cheryl Cole's place on the judging panel after the British singer was given the boot. However, Nicole and fellow panelist Paula Abdul did not return for the second series and were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

Cheryl ColeCheryl Cole will appear in Glee.

Jane Lynch - who plays coach Sue Sylvester in the musical TV show - has confirmed talks have been on-going for the 29-year-old star to take part in the show, but it has now been revealed she will be definitely be given a cameo role: "There's been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it's set to happen now. Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her [after she appeared in his film What To Expect When You're Expecting] and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons. Matthew's chatted to her and she seems keen. Cheryl's the perfect Glee fit, she can sing, she can dance and she looks good. It would be cool if she played herself."

Jane also joked her alter-ego Sue would not take any messing around from the "Call My Name" hitmaker and would be harsher on her than Simon Cowell - who famously sacked her after she worked on four auditions on the US version of The X Factor.

Paris HiltonParis Hilton had to turn down a guest role in the finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The hotel heiress was asked by producers of the hit reality TV show to appear alongside her aunts, Kyle and Kim Richards, but she was forced to decline because she is out of the country on business.

"Paris was asked to be a part of the finale which will take place in mid-July. She is a big fan of the show and totally supports her family appearing on it, but had to decline because she will be out of the country. Paris will be extremely busy promoting her new album, and just has too much going on right now to commit to taking on anymore projects," a source said.

Kyle and Kim were also disappointed Paris couldn't take part as they know she would have been a hit. "Producers were hopeful Paris would be able to be a part of the finale, which they could have promoted and publicised. Paris definitely would have greatly bolstered the ratings for the finale, but, her schedule just couldn't accommodate it. Paris' aunts, Kim and Kyle also wanted her to be on the show, but they completely understand," the source added.
