President BushGiven all the airtime the Bush family is being given on this week, you’d think they were either up for re-election or they were promoting a movie about bees.

On Tuesday, First Lady Laura Bush will not only make an appearance the Today show, she will be guest-hosting for an entire hour.  One of her two daughters, Jenna Bush, will also be making joining her mother for a quick hello.

But visits to the Peacock network will not be limited to just the ladies.  On Monday night, President George Bush will be making a primetime cameo on .  In a pre-taped message, Bush will cheer on an Army captain who is going for the million dollar prize.

So what will it be next?  A visit from the actual president on ?  Now that would be Must See TV.

Even though it was the umpteenth time Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton had faced off, ABC’s debate actually did quite well…especially on an American Idol night.

MONDAY (4/14)
  • Bones (FOX, 8pm):  New episode.  “When a motorcycle racer’s remains are discovered in a national park, Brennan and Booth hunt for his killer.”  I hear this is a great show.  I just wish Angel wasn’t flirting with a new woman.
  • One Tree Hill (CW, 9pm):  New episode.  “Lucas tries to deal with being left at the altar.”  He’ll find comfort in the arms of a young blonde thing later.
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS, 9:30pm):  New episode.  “Adam and Jennifer go on a vacation with Jeff and Audrey, but first they have to endure a time share sales pitch.”  What do I get if I endure the show?
  • Medium (NBC, 10pm):  “Kelly Preston guest stars as venture capitalist Meghan Doyle, who strikes up a professional and personal connection with Joe.”  Anjelica Huston, Rosanna Arquette and now Kelly Preston.  Is this the channel?

Despite a night of NBC originals, the network found itself in the middle of the pack.  A special Thursday episode of American Idol helped FOX win the demos while CBS was first with the viewers.

Steve Carell, The Office

  • About 19.6 million were shocked to see Michael Johns booted from (6.8/19 in 18-49).
  • (11.7 million, 3.8/11) suffered a bit thanks to that other reality show.
  • (3.0/9) kicked off NBC’s night with 7 million; (5.7 million, 2.7/7) fell a bit from there.
  • A * repeat (1.1/3) had 4.3 million excited for a new episode.
  • * (2.3 million, 0.8/2) was on track with last week.
