Yesterday, America’s Got Talent attracted its largest audience so far this season. The reality show helped NBC win the viewers while ABC was the victor in the demos.
8pm
- Wipeout (9.7 million, 3.5/11 in 18-49) easily won its hour.
- NCIS* (8.5 million, 1.4/5) did the same as before.
- Celebrity Family Feud (2.0/6) ended its season with 7.5 million.
- Kitchen Nightmares* (1.5/5) grossed out 3.5 million.
- Beauty and the Geek (1.2 million, 0.4/1) added on 200,000.

Monday Ratings: Two and a Half Men Number One Again

Despite airing a slate of new episodes, neither ABC or NBC could defeat CBS’ stale lineup. The Eye network nabbed the viewers last night while tying FOX in the demos.
8pm
- Bones* (6.3 million, 1.8/6 in 18-49) was off by 100,000.
- The Big Bang Theory* (5.6 million, 1.7/6) did the same as last week.
- American Gladiators (5.4 million, 1.9/6) rallied 300,000 more.
- How I Met Your Mother* (5.3 million,1.7/5) slipped by a 1/2 million.
- High School Musical: Get in the Picture (3.6 million, 1.0/3) improved by 400,000.
- Gossip Girl* (1.2 million, 0.5/2) saw a 100,000 loss.

- Wanna Bet? (ABC,9pm): “Corbin Bernsen, Tom Bergeron, Rip Hamilton and Melissa Peterman are the celebs placing the wagers. Stunts include a man trying to kick himself in the head 45 times in one minute.” Wanna bet people only know who half these ‘celebrities’ are?
- Paranormal State (A&E, 10pm): Season Two premiere. “The team investigates supposed activity at a home, including the mysterious destruction of religious objects and the unexplained appearance of dead animals near the home.” Dead animals? Should they be looking for ghosts or a serial killer?
- Make a Move (DIY, 10pm): “Amy Wynn Pastor helps newlyweds with their eco-conscious home, including projects like a compost heap, a kitchen upgrade and a wall demolition.” Ah, newlyweds. Always so annoyingly optimistic.
- Weeds (Showtime, 10pm): “In Mexico, Celia discovers the joys of discounted medicine at local pharmacies.” If only she had known about the $4 generics at her local Wal-Mart.

Friday Ratings: Viewers Not in the Mood for Swinging

- America’s Funniest Videos* (1.3/5) documented 4.8 million.
- Most Outrageous Moments* (1.1/5) embarrassed 4.3 million.
- Friday Night Smackdown (1.3/5) wrestled up 3.8 million.
- FOX‘s airing of Anger Management (1.2/5) had 3.2 riled up.

- Greatest American Dog (1.5/6) saw 6.1 million roll over.
- Last Comic Standing (1.7/6) rounded up 4.3 million.
- Ugly Betty* (0.8/3) turned in 3.4 million.
- Smallville* (0.8/3) attracted 1.9 million.

Although last week’s All-Star Game made a dent in Wipeout‘s numbers, the show proved viewers were still interested. The program’s rebound helped ABC attain a victory in the demos, meanwhile NBC was the leader with the viewers.

- Wipeout (9.9 million, 3.6/12 in 18-49) saw 1.4 million return this week.
- NCIS* (8.5 million, 1.6/5) picked up another 700,000.
- Celebrity Family Feud (7.3 million, 1.8/5) had a 600,000 dip.
- Kitchen Nightmares* (1.6/5) uncovered 3.8 million rats.
- Beauty and the Geek* (1 million, 0.5/1) turned out a repeat performance.

Turns out Sunday night’s dismal premiere of High School Musical was no fluke. The show’s second outing did even worse than the first. Meanwhile, CBS’ slate of repeats did well enough to earn the network wins for the viewers and the demos.

- Bones* (6.4 million, 1.7/6 in 18-49) was about even with last week.
- The Big Bang Theory* (5.6 million, 1.8/6) tacked on 300,000; How I Met Your Mother* (5.8 million, 2.0/6) improved by 700,000.
- American Gladiators (5.1 million, 1.8/6) was up a notch.
- High School Musical: Get in the Picture (3.2 million, 0.9/3) sunk 800,000 from yesterday’s premiere.
- Gossip Girl* (1.3 million, 0.6/2) did about the same.

- High School Musical: Get in the Picture (ABC, 8pm): Monday premiere. “The East Coast auditions progress to the semifinal and final rounds.” If I can be guaranteed shed tears, I just might be interested in watching this.
- Take Home Nanny (TLC, 8pm): Series premiere. “Emma helps a mom with two demanding daughters and a workaholic husband.” Emma’s other job? Manufacturing fake IDs.
- Wanna Bet? (ABC, 9pm): Series premiere. “Celebrities wager on ordinary people’s abilities to perform wild stunts. Tom Green, Sherri Shepherd, George Takei and Harland Williams are the judges in the opener.” If Tom Green had placed a bet on Drew Barrymore’s latest relationship, I’m sure he would have made a ton.
- Date My Ex: Jo & Slade (Bravo, 10pm): Series premiere. “Jo De La Rosa, of The Real Housewives of Orange County, begins her quest to find a love match by sizing up her various suitors. Helping her weed out the contestants: ex-flame Slade Smiley.” At this point, anyone not named Slade Smiley would be an upgrade.

- Wipeout (8.5 million, 3.1/10) had a 2.1 million dive.
- Celebrity Family Feud (7.9 million, 2.0/7) gathered another 400,000.
- NCIS* (7.8 million, 1.3/4) plummeted by 800,000.
- Beauty and the Geek* (1 million, 0.5/2) drew in 260,000 more.

With The Bachelorette now over, Monday nights once again belonged to the repeats. Although it was tight race, FOX managed to snare wins in both categories from CBS.
