Getting Into Character: Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy

Although she’s widely known now for being Tom Cruise’s wife, actress Katie Holmes has taken on the challenge of playing another famous significant other.
These pictures of Holmes as former First Lady Jackie Kennedy were taken from the set of The Kennedys, the History Channel’s eight-hour event about the historical family in the years before President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
The miniseries, which also stars Greg Kinner as JFK and Tom Wilkinson as Joe Kennedy Sr., is scheduled to air sometime in 2011.

- The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm): “Ali takes one to a bathhouse, another to a bazaar and four others to a historic fort, where they slather themselves in olive oil and wrestle with each other to earn one-on-one time with her.” The one who enjoys it the least is the one who will win the date.
- All Worked Up (truTV, 10pm): “A showgirl uses her dance training in vain to avoid getting towed.” Elizabeth Berkley is proof showgirl experience won’t get you far.
- Obsessed (A&E, 10pm): Season premiere. “A woman’s need to exercise constantly leaves her little time to spend with her family.” She makes sure to wave at their avatars when she runs past them on Wii Fit.

-Tuesday’s Deadliest Catch episode earned the program its largest audience to date. The hour was the first of several to address Captain Phil Harris’ health.

If you lived through the ‘80s, chances are you’ve at one point asked the question addressed in the video above: “Who was better - Tiffany or Debbie Gibson?” Thanks to the Syfy channel, we might soon know.
Although it’s been over 20 years since they were both competing on the charts, the two pop princesses will get a chance to battle it out once again. Later this month, Mega Pirahna star Tiffany and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus actress Debbie Gibson will join their creature-fighting talents for Mega Python vs. Gatoroid - Syfy’s latest contribution to the “It’s So Bad, It’s So Good” genre of films. The project will debut in 2011.

What would it sound like if the robot from Small Wonder crossed paths with Bristol Palin? Something like this.
On the July 5th episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Sarah Palin’s 19-year-old daughter uses her real-life experience to play a fellow teen mom at Amy’s band camp.
Let’s hope the rest of the hour fares better for Bristol. Otherwise, Tripp Johnston’s mommy will need to find a new way to bring home the bacon.

Snoop Dogg might not get a chance to play a vampire in True Blood anytime soon, but he did just pay a special visit to Bon Temps.
If you failed to watch past the credits after last night’s episode, you may have missed Snoop’s musical love letter to Merlotte’s own telepathic waitress. In “Oh Sookie,” the rapper sings: “Oh Sookie, can I take you away?/ You ever been to LA?/ Come and play on my team / We’ll do it in the daytime / Bill won’t know a thing.”
