Mary Hart-30 Rock will be throwing in a Saturday Night Live-esque twist this fall. On October 14, actors from the NBC comedy will do two live primetime tapings—one for each coast.

-Mary Hart has announced that she will leave Entertainment Tonight after completing her 30th year with the program. It’s believed Lara Spencer, host of The Insider, will eventually take over her spot.

-You knew she couldn’t keep away for long. Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell will once again return to daytime with a new show next year. The program will air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN.

-Can’t think of a better show title for Cougar Town? Well, neither can the producers. Although the comedy is considered to be an ensemble program, the ABC series will be keeping its name.

-Actor Jeff Goldblum has decided to leave Law & Order: Criminal Intent after two years with the program. “Uncertainty” about the show’s future reportedly played a part in his decision.

  • The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm):  Season finale. “Ali arrives in Bora Bora with two guys (Chris L. and Roberto) and one rose. Her family are also there—-and they do her no favor by liking both bachelors equally.” Her family said it was so hard to choose in this loser-loser situation.
  • The Good Guys (FOX, 9pm):  “A crime family dispatches an assassin to kill a man in the Witness Protection Program after Dan accidentally exposes the man’s identity.” He forgot to adjust his privacy settings to “Friends Only.”
  • The Closer (TNT, 9pm):  “Provenza stumbles into a compromising situation, as is his habit, when he romances a flight attendant on company time—-then discovers a dead body in her condominium.” It was too big to stuff into the overhead compartment.

Jason Priestley and Luke Perry-90210‘s Jason Priestley and Luke Perry are teaming up for Goodnight for Justice, a made-for-TV western. Perry will exec. produce/star in the Hallmark movie while Priestley is currently set to direct.

-Better late than never? After receiving a failing grade from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), CBS has made a promise to introduce more gay characters into their programs.

-Sex may have been the reason ABC entertainment head Steve McPherson left his job. A source claims an internal sexual harassment investigation was being conducted. Several different complaints were reportedly made against McPherson.

-Golden Girls will soon be remade for audiences in Spain. The NBC series has already been retooled for comedy lovers in Russia, Latin America, Greece and the U.K.

When the Showtime series returns on September 26, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) will have to add “single father” and “grieving husband who shows know emotions” to his list of responsibilities. How is he going to juggle it all and keep Quinn (Desmond Harrington) off his track? And how the heck does Julia Stiles figure into all of this?? I’m dying to know.

Eric RobertsUPDATE: According to Eric and his wife, the actor is seeking treatment for marijuana addiction.

Eric Roberts, older brother to Hollywood A-lister Julia Roberts, has joined the cast of . Reports have surfaced that the actor, 54, has moved into the Pasadena Recovery Center where the show is filmed.

It’s not known what Eric, who was arrested in 1987 for possession of cocaine, is currently getting help for. Roberts’ rehab roomie, , calls him “an incredible person.”

Roberts, in addition to being Julia’s brother, is the father of Emma Roberts, 19, who starred in Nancy Drew among other films.

His film credits include The Dark Knight and Witless Protection. He can also be seen next month in with Sylvester Stallone.
