David Letterman-Late-night host David Letterman will make his first appearance on The View. David, who had quintuple heart bypass surgery in 2000, will welcome back Barbara Walters from her surgery on September 7.

-Speaking of Barbara, Walters and exec. producer Bill Geddie are currently producing a “unisex” version of her daytime talk show. Bryant Gumbel is reportedly in the running to help co-host the male-friendly spinoff.

Vanessa Williams in Desperate Housewives cast

This cast photo makes me miss Ugly Betty just a little bit less.

Although we’re about to begin the seventh season of , a few new faces might help keep the ABC series fresh.

A few weeks ago, we got to a glimpse of Brian Austin Green on set with Marcia Cross. Now, we’re getting a taste of what Vanessa Williams might bring to the show. (Doesn’t she seem right at home in the middle of these ladies?)

Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston

Back in January, Lisa Kudrow guested on Cougar Town as a dermatologist Courtney Cox’s character loved and hated. Now it’s Jennifer Aniston’s turn to help out her former co-star.

When the ABC comedy returns on September 22, the Switch star will appear as a different specialist in Jules’ life. “She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie,” exec producer Bill Lawrence told EW. “Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”
