Portia and Ellen DeGeneres-Could Portia DeGeneres find herself waltzing with a female professional on Dancing with the Stars? It’s believed American audiences could soon see its first same-sex DWTS pairing since the Israeli version recently did the same.

-Is Disney's Sonny with a Chance in jeopardy? It’s unclear how Demi Lovato’s decision to seek treatment for personal issues will affect production. The show was set to resume filming in mid-January.

-Today will be Gene Shalit’s final morning on the Today show. The longtime film critic will be signing off the program after 40 years. “It’s enough already,” the 85-year-old said.

-Speaking of retirement, this will be Jo Frost’s last season as Supernanny. "[Having children] is not an option when you are traveling and working 46 weeks out of the year. Proper balance will allow me to date and have a relationship and look at my own future of having a family," she explained.

Tim Allen will return to TV soon (can we get a grunt on that one?), and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Allen will return to ABC (where his successful series Home Improvement ran for eight seasons) for the new sitcom Man Up.

The show is described as a man “fighting for his manhood in a world of women.” That’s not a lot of information, but already Tim Allen seems perfect for the role.

The series will mark the actor’s first serialized TV role since Home Improvement went off the air in 1999. Thank goodness he was finally let out of the Disney vault so he can go back to doing what he does best.

Gille Marini on Brothers & Sisters

"I didn’t have the guts to bring it up with her! Her role went to more than first base – my role was all about, “hey look at me, I’m doing other girls, you like it?” [laughs] It was completely different. But yes, mother and son romanced Kim Cattrall. We’re definitely French, that’s for sure! [laughs]."

-Brothers & Sisters' Gilles Marini on Sonia Braga, the actress who will play his mother on the ABC show. Both Marini and Braga starred opposite Cattrall on Sex and the City (if you know what I mean).
