Thursday Ratings: Taylor Swift Not Enough for CBS

Taylor Swift isn’t just a big concert draw, the country music sensation is a ratings hit as well. Swift’s stint on CSI helped give the CBS program a nice boost on Thursday night. Unfortunately, that other musical hit (a.k.a. American Idol) was also around to do its thing.
8pm
- American Idol (21.2 million, 7.5/20 in 18-49) picked up 500,000.
- Survivor: Tocantins (12 million, 3.8/10) slipped by 300,000.
- Ugly Betty (6.4 million, 1.7/5) gave up 400,000.
- My Name is Earl (2.2/6) returned to 5.6 million; Kath & Kim (4.2 million, 1.8/5) improved by 800,000.
- Smallville* (2.2 million, 0.8/2) was on par with last week.

- CSI (20.8 million, 5.3/13 in 18-49) rounded up 3 million more.
- Hell’s Kitchen (10.6 million, 4.6/12) served up 700,000.
- The Office (4.5/11) courted 8.6 million; 30 Rock (7.4 million, 3.8/9) was up 1.1 million.
- Grey’s Anatomy* (5.7 million, 1.6/4) fell by 1.1 million.
- Supernatural* (2 million, 0.8/2) did about the same.
10pm
- Eleventh Hour (12.2 million, 3.0/8 in 18-49) added on 500,000.
- ER (8.8 million, 3.5/10) remained steady.
- Private Practice* (4.5 million, 1.3/4) shaved off 200,000.
