Thursday Ratings: Idol Disrupts the Evening

Despite hitting season-low audience numbers, a delayed episode of American Idol was still a nuisance for Thursday’s nights staples.
8pm
- American Idol (7.1/19 in 18-49) raised 20.7 million viewers.
- Survivor: Tocantins (12.3 million, 4.0/11) took a 1.4 million hit.
- Ugly Betty (6.8 million, 1.9/5) lost 900,000.
- NBC’s Kung Fu Panda special (1.4/4) entertained 4 million; Kath & Kim (3.4 million, 1.5/4) plummeted by 1.7 million.
- Smallville* (2.1 million, 0.7/2) was down a few notches.

- CSI (17.8 million, 4.3/11 in 18-49) did better against a Grey‘s repeat.
- Hell’s Kitchen (9.9 million, 4.3/11) picked up 3.3 million thanks to Idol.
- Grey’s Anatomy* (6.8 million, 2.2/6) fell by 8.6 million.
- The Office* (5.3 million, 2.4/6) gave up 500,000; 30 Rock (6.3 million, 2.9/7) added on 1.5 million.
- Supernatural* (1.9 million, 0.8/2) did about the same.
10pm
- Eleventh Hour (11.7 million, 2.9/8 in 18-49) grew by 500,000.
- ER (8.7 million, 3.4/9) climbed by 1.3 million.
- Private Practice* (4.7 million, 1.6/4) sunk by 6.7 million.
