Thursday Ratings: Basketball Courts the Fans

The Boston Celtics’ surprise comeback last night was the biggest attraction of the evening. Thanks to the heated contest, ABC had its 8th consecutive win in the demos on a Thursday.
8pm
- A Wednesday edition of Million Dollar Password (9.5 million, 2.0/7 in 18-49) topped its hour.
- Jimmy Kimmel (2.9/10) kicked off the basketball coverage with 7.8 million; the NBA pre-game special (8.2 million, 3.2/11) grew from there.
- Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (1.8/6) tested 6.1 million.
- My Name is Earl* (1.1/4) had 3.5 million entertained.
- Smallville* (1.9 million, 0.8/3) did slightly better than before.
Variety
9pm
- CSI* (9.4 million, 2.2/6 in 18-49) remained even with last week.
- A downsized So You Think You Can Dance (7.9 million, 2.8/8) saw smaller numbers.
- Last Comic Standing (4.1 million, 1.7/5) had 800,000 less.
- Supernatural* (1.7 million, 0.7/2) was down by 100,000.
10pm
- Game 4 of the NBA Finals (4.1/12 in 18-49) rounded up 9.9 million.
- Swingtown (7.3 million, 2.3/7) declined 1.3 million from its premiere.
- Fear Itself (4.9 million, 1.5/4) scared away 300,000.
