Thursday Ratings: Greatest American Dogs Have Their Day

A strong debut for CBS’ newest reality offering - Greatest American Dog - helped the network score a win with the viewers. Meanwhile, FOX was tops with the demos.
8pm
- Greatest American Dog‘s premiere (9.5 million, 2.1/8 in 18-49) easily topped its hour.
- Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? (7 million, 2.0/7) tested 1.3 million more this week.
- A repeat of Last Comic Standing* (1.2/4) chalked up 3.5 million.
- Ugly Betty* (3 million, 0.9/3) was up slightly.
- Smallville* (1.8 million, 0.7/3) tacked on another 100,000.
Variety

- CSI* (9.8 million, 2.2/7 in 18-49) improved upon its lead-in.
- So You Think You Can Dance (8.7 million, 3.0/9) grew by 2 million.
- Last Comic Standing (5 million, 2.1/6) was about even with last Thursday.
- Grey’s Anatomy* (3.1 million, 0.9/3) lured in 300,000 more.
- Supernatural* (1.9 million, 0.7/2) nailed down another 500,000.
10pm
- Hopkins (5.5 million, 1.5/5 in 18-49) sewed up an additional 800,000.
- Swingtown (5.4 million, 1.7/5) picked up 700,000.
