DiploBeyonce has worked with Diplo on a new track.

The producer and his former Major Lazer partner Switch produced "Run the World (Girls)" - the first single from Beyonce's last album, 4- and he has been back in the studio with her again, although it is not yet known if their collaboration will be on her forthcoming fifth record.

"I'm in the middle of something for her at the moment," Diplo cryptically explained.

Beyonce is not the only pop titan the producer - who rose to fame after producing "Paper Planes" for M.I.A - has worked with, as he produced some songs on Justin Bieber's 2012 album Believe and was impressed with the 19-year-old star's skills: "The craziest thing about Justin Bieber is that the kid is crazily good at everything. He's really good at ping pong, the kid can rap, he has awesome hair, he's super cool and super nice."

Pharell WilliamsPharrell Williams has produced a track for Jay-Z which is like a "Stanley Kubrick movie."

The rapper and producer has joined forces with the hip-hop star to record for the follow up to his The Blueprint 3 album, and compares their work to the notorious filmmaker, famed for his attention to detail, perfectionism and tackling of grand concepts. Referring to the director - whose projects include A Clockwork Orange and The Shining - Pharrell told radio station Hot 97, "Rain Man is back, Rain Man is back. I gave him a straight up Stanley Kubrick movie."

Jay-Z refers to himself as the Rain Man because of his ability to come up with rhyming lyrics effortlessly. The reference is a tongue-in-cheek comparison to the gifted autistic character Raymond Babbitt who has incredible memory recall, as portrayed by Dustin Hoffman in the 1988 film Rain Man.

Pharrell also listed other big names he is collaborating with, including Jay-Z's wife Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Busta Rhymes, Kendrick Lamar and No Doubt.

Elton John with Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump

Elton John advised Fall Out Boy to "p**s people off" on Save Rock And Roll. The legendary singer appears on the "Dance, Dance" band's new album, and they knew they were doing the right thing with their songs when he said they would cause upset.

"Elton John sings on the song 'Save Rock and Roll' and going in there with him [to record] I was a little bit concerned what he was going to say about it. But he loved every part of it and that was reassuring like, 'Okay we're doing the right thing.' He was like, 'You're going to p**s off a lot of people and you should totally p**s those people off,'" singer Patrick Stump explained.

Celine Dion and Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo has recorded a duet with Celine Dion. The "Closer" hitmaker had a "surreal" time in the studio with the "My Heart Will Go On" star and admitted though he was flattered she wanted his vocals on the track, it made him doubt his abilities as a singer.

"The first time I worked for her I wrote a song for her, which in itself was surreal. This time around I actually did a duet with her - it's her and me on one song, which was a challenge to say the least! I was trying to figure what I was even doing there - why would they need my voice when they have hers? She wanted to do the song as a duet and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability," he said.

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift wants to collaborate with Eminem.

The "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer is famed for her country-pop songs but she is also a huge fan of hip-hop and would love to do a song with the "Stan" rapper.

"I love hip-hop so much. There's something so honest about it," she said. When asked if she would jump on a track with Eminem, she added to InStyle magazine, "Nobody wants to hear me rap but I'd sing a chorus for someone for sure. I would sign up for that in a heartbeat."

Taylor, 23, is famed for her clean-cut image and while she admits people would be shocked if she started swearing in her music, she insists she has the final say on what she writes and releases and could do what she wants: "I don't have a big scary management situation where I have to ask them. If I wrote a song called 'F**k' I think people would kind of raise their hand and go, like, 'Maybe swear less?' But I just don't really feel the need to swear in my music."

Dave GrohlDave Grohl came close to arranging a collaboration between Weezer and Barry Manilow. The Foo Fighters frontman was keen to forge an unlikely pairing between the "Hash Pipe" rockers and the 69-year-old crooner for a track on his Sound City Studios documentary soundtrack and thinks the song could have been a hit.

"I was this f***ing close to getting them on a record. I thought it was going to happen. It would've been f***ing huge," he said.

The rocker admitted Barry was keen to take part in the project, but proved difficult to track down: "He was the first person who said he'd do it but was the last we tracked down. And we had to fly to f***ing Hawaii."

The documentary threw up several collaborations, including one between Dave, his former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, and Paul McCartney.
