Danny Boyle finally releases 127 Hours—a follow-up to his 2008 (multiple) Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire—starring as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston who gets trapped in a canyon and reconsiders his outlook on life while fighting to survive.

Boyle’s fast-paced, electric storytelling and Franco’s charm (and looks) definitely draw me into the story, but do we really need to be reminded of all the films Boyle’s done? There is such a thing as IMDB… I’m also glad to see that Franco has moved on from his General Hospital gig.

The film, which also stars Kate Mara, Lizzy Caplan, , and Clemence Posey, hits theaters on November 5.

Scream 4The cast of Scream 4 has room for all, it seems - including an Oscar winner and the girl next door.

Anna Paquin and have both been confirmed to the cast of the horror flick, joining Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, Hayden Panettiere and Adam Brody on the set.

Dimension Films has offered no hints on the characters Paquin and Bell will play, but we do know that will play Jill, the film’s heroine (and therefore, least likely to be brutally murdered onscreen).

The movie will be released in April 2011.

The Switch

Maybe a quick trip to Cougar Town is something Jennifer Aniston could use right now.

Days after blurting out the R-word on television, Aniston is dealing with another ding in her career: the box office disappointment. The Switch, co-starring Jason Bateman, produced only $8.4 million over the past three days while narrowly escaping eighth place. The good news? The movie raised slightly more than Jen’s Love Happens did back in September. The bad news? The comedy earned about $4 million less than Jennifer Lopez’s baby movie, The Back-Up Plan, did in April.

A personal development for Michael Douglas will not have any affect on his upcoming film.

Earlier this week, the Academy Award-winning actor announced he will be receiving treatment for a tumor discovered in his throat. Although very little was revealed about his diagnosis, it was revealed that Douglas will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy.

“I am very optimistic,” the 65-year-old said in a statement.

The health news comes just weeks before the Michael’s latest film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, is set to debut. While it’s not known how Douglas’ voice might be impacted, if at all, the studio says things will go on as scheduled. Universal also expects Michael - who won an Oscar for his first portrayal of Gordon Gekko - to be able to promote the film.
