The folks over at IGN were nice enough to hand us over the trailer for Vin Diesel‘s upcoming action sci-fi thriller, Babylon A.D..
Based upon Maurice Georges Dantec’s French novel Babylon Babies, the film has been on a close watch for movie geeks everywhere since production began. French director Mathieu Kassovitz (Munich) directed the movie, which features a dominantly-French cast, including big-time French actor Gérard Depardieu!
It’s always nice to an actor going back to his or her roots. Honestly, what was he thinking when he signed on to The Pacifier?
You can expect it to hit theaters on August 29. Check out the trailer after the jump!

Disney Offers Sneak Peek of Wall-E

Disney’s latest adorable character Wall E appeared to have jumped from the streets of Los Angeles to your television screen last Saturday night.
Studio execs leaked a four-minute clip from the movie and appropriately aired it after Finding Nemo on the Disney channel. The clip, which you can check out after the jump, is so cute! I couldn’t stop aww-ing over Wall-E, wanting to just give him a big hug.
The film opens June 27 and stars Fred Willard, Jeff Garlin, Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger, Kathy Najimy and Ben Burtt.

The sixth of each month has continuously marked the release of Watchmen video journals, chronicling production on Zack Snyder‘s latest comic-to-screen film.
This month he gives us a peek at the infamous prison escape scene, revealing how stunt actors are lit on fire! I was a bit disappointed that we don’t clearly see Rorschach, though. In case you missed it on here, you can check out the photos of the Watchmen characters as well as the action figure prototypes. Enjoy.

Accident on Set of Hannah Montana Movie

Extras working on Hannah Montana: The Movie got a bit more excitement yesterday than they would have liked.
During a shoot in Tennessee, high winds forced a large piece of lighting equipment to fly toward an occupied Ferris wheel. Although the incident looked quite scary, no one was seriously injured.

Wanted Trailer #3
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Universal, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Thrillers, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
If Wanted‘s last trailer didn’t quite do it for you, it’s possible this version will be the one to whet your appetite.
Not only does the clip provide more of a backstory for Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy), it provides more glimpses of Angelina Jolie‘s tattooed back.
Wanted - also starring Morgan Freeman and Common - hits theaters on June 27.
Watch the First Seven Minutes of Speed Racer

If you’ve been wondering whether to spend your weekend watching Speed Racer (or Iron Man for the second time), here’s something that may help you decide. You will know now whether the visual movie’s open is at least tolerable.
Given my unexpected reaction to Cloverfield, I don’t think I could sit through another movie that might cause motion sickness.
At the very least, fans of Warren Beatty’s colorful Dick Tracy - or those simply with young boys in the home - might find something appealing about it.
The Latest Incredible Hulk Trailer

While I think this trailer for The Incredible Hulk is definitely an improvement over the earlier version, I still don’t think there’s anything they could do to make that green guy look less cheesy.
And am I the only one who thinks they they should have kept that other ugly thing under wraps?
Edward Norton‘s version of The Incredible Hulk storms into theaters on June 13.
Hollywood’s All-Time Low: Quarantine
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Action, Horror, Mystery, Thrillers, Scripts, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
We all know that Hollywood rapes any movie they see as potential blockbuster meat, remaking any and every thing they possibly can. I never would have guessed, however, that they would go so low as to remake a film that was made just last year and has not even been released in the U.S. yet!
Yes, that’s right, a 2007 Spanish horror movie by the name of [Rec] already has an American remake that is due out this October, titled Quarantine. Both films follow an ambitious newswoman and her cameraman, off to cling to a story that does not end well.
The trailer for Quarantine, which you can see after the jump, has sparked quite some outrage, as fans are unimpressed by the remake, claiming it is a bad combination of 28 Days Later and Cloverfield. I personally am choosing not to support this atrocity, yet I know that Hollywood wins these battles because people go to see movies to see movies, no matter how unoriginal it is. If it looks remotely decent, anyone with ten dollars seems to jump on a movie like this.
Stand up in the fight against unoriginality, yes?

Tom Cruise’s Strangely Missing Accent

After viewing a teaser trailer for Valkyrie, I now see why Tom Cruise’s film may be in need of a few delays.
In this WWII movie, the actor plays Col. Claus von Stauffenberg - a German officer who plots to take down Adolf Hitler. Granted, I haven’t seen the film yet, but I highly doubt the character ever took voice lessons by watching videos of Mission Impossible.
You can listen to his laughable performance after the jump.

Tropic Thunder Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Paramount, Action, Comedy, Casting, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
Earlier this month, we told you about Robert Downey Jr.‘s potentially controversial role in Tropic Thunder. In the comedy, the actor plays an actor who plays a black man. (Get that?)
Now here’s your chance to see a clip of the film also starring Ben Stiller and Jack Black. I’m excited to say the movie looks like a riot.
Tropic Thunder storms into theaters on August
13th.
