A Look At The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess For Wii
Among the multitude of news bits about the upcoming Nintendo Wii, gamers can’t stop talking about the launch titles that will go along with this console. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess offers fans a new spin on the traditional Zelda series, but leaves many wondering whether the game will work with the Wii’s newfangled controllers or format? Fortunately, the consensus is that long time fans and newbies alike will not be disappointed by this upcoming installment in the Zelda series.
The control setup in the Wii version of Twilight Princess (Nintendo will release a version specifically for the Gamecube, as well) adds a profound impact to the feel of the game. Everything feels new, from fishing to shooting arrows and everything in between. While you’ll still encounter a familiar feel to the game, the control system adds a breath of fresh air to Link’s world.
There are a number of features within Twilight Princess that you must learn to master in order to reap the rewards of the game. The item selection feature requires players to use Navi, Link’s fairy creature friend, to point and click on various icons. The numerous crates and pots throughout the game enable Link to pick them up and smash their enemies to death, as well as containing the familiar heart powerups, rupees and weapon refills. Gamer’s will not be disappointed by Link’s arsenal of attack moves at his disposal; the usual spins, slashing, forward attacks, backflips, rolls and the like are all here. Gamers young and old alike will delight in the myriad of puzzles to solve, traditional Zelda-style and the engaging boss battles.
On a good television set, Twilight Princess displays graphics beautifully, especially on smaller units. When compared to other Wii titles, the latest from the classic Zelda series stacks up wonderfully. Players will not be disappointed by the wait for this amazing title.
