Selena Gomez in Kmart apparel

Wizards of Waverly Place star has become the latest celebrity to enter the “cheap clothes for juniors” world.

Beginning this July, fans of the 17-year-old’s style will be able to purchase items from the Dream Out Loud line at Kmart stores. The collection, which Gomez describes as the “whole Texan cowgirl meets the glam Boho chic of Hollywood,” will include belts, scarves, hats, socks, handbags and hosiery in addition to clothing. Footwear will become available come October.

“I am proud to be able to join forces with Kmart to release my own fashion collection!” Selena told People. “This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and I feel privileged to be able to give the consumer great product at a great value.”

Marie HelvinMarie Helvin still can’t find the perfect white shirt.

The 57-year-old model - who was a regular on the catwalk and in fashion magazines during the 70s and 80s - has never been able to find a style of shirt which fits her properly despite owning a huge collection of designer clothes.

“I am constantly searching for the perfect white shirt. At my age, I can’t wear all these short, tight things anymore. I’d look ridiculous. I like a plain white shirt, a black A-line skirt and some nice shoes. And that’s it.”

Marie - who has worked for designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Versace and Valentino - is due to auction off her old wardrobe with upmarket vintage clothing experts Kerry Taylor in London next week. The collection will go under the hammer at the same time as the late screen icon Audrey Hepburn’s clothes.

However, Marie is not sad to see her outfits go up for sale: “I can’t even get a finger into them now!”

Marie - who was previously married to famed photographer David Bailey - previously said she wanted to get rid of her old designer gowns because she didn’t think it was appropriate for her to wear them anymore. “Kate Moss will probably snap them up for Topshop. Hah! But you know, I don’t think it’s appropriate to dress too sexily at my age. Anyway, I can’t get into them any more,” she said.

Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer '10Janet Jackson attended the Ralph Lauren fashion show last Friday.

The 43-year-old singer sat in the front row of the New York Fashion Week show alongside the legendary designer’s family. When asked what her favorite look was, Janet replied, “I love them all!”

Ralph’s Spring/Summer ‘10 collection saw models embracing the “resilient spirit” of the nation and its work ethic. Among the looks featured were silver-sequined slashed jeans, work shirts, and metallic blue lame gowns with details of a workman’s coverall.

The designer, who’s known for his classic sportswear brand, said that he wanted his blue-hued collection to reflect the nation’s drive during the recent economic problems: “Hard times seem to sharpen our capacity for idealism and our optimism that tomorrow will be a better day. I am inspired by the character of the worker, the farmer, the cowboy, the pioneer women of the prairies living authentically through challenging times.”

His collection also featured 30s-inspired delicate floral-print dresses and contrasting, tailored denim styles.

Perez Hilton goes pantsless

While we all dearly love Lady Gaga and her fashionable decisions, most of us aren’t willing to go there—and rightfully shouldn’t. Case in point: Perez Hilton.

Making a pantsless appearance at a DSquared2 party during New York Fashion Week, the gossip blogger flaunted his not-so-nice-looking legs in a Mickey Mouse… dress? The shoes didn’t help too much, either.

What have you done, Lady Gaga!

Bust Cup DressChristopher Kane’s Topshop line is finally here, and the folks at British retail chain offer us a peek with the collection’s lookbook.

Although the line isn’t due in stores until next month, much buzz has been circulating around the Versace designer’s 39 pieces. By the looks of the photos (seen after the jump), it is obvious as to why the hype has originated.

The collection, ranging from $60 for a scarf to $310 for a dress, unfortunately isn’t the cheapest. With dresses like these, however, I think that I can make quite the exception!

The line is expected to come complete with shoes and bags.

Coco Rocha for Liz Claiborne

A red-haired Coco Rocha (somewhat bearing a resemblance to Rose McGowan) appears in Liz Claiborne’s fall campaign, gracing a very crowded neighborhood and grocery store. While Coco can do no wrong, I find this pairing a little strange…

Rodarte's Fall 2008The fashion phenomenon known as Rodarte will soon be adding its name to the long list of houses that have created a diffusion line for Target.

Headed by the fabulous Mulleavy sisters, the couture-meets-edgy designs usually range in the thousands (per piece)—quite a far cry from the expected $9.99-$79.99 going for the Target line.

Target spokesman Joshua Thomas has assured potential buyers that they are not to be disappointed:

“What you’ll notice is an amazing eye for detail. It’s very feminine, yet very modern. The collection incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur. The key with Rodarte is layering… There are stand-alone pieces and pieces that can be worn together to create an ensemble by layering different patterns, textures and prints.”

A favorite of celebrities Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman, the diffusion line is due to hit stores December 20th and be available until February 6th, with a total of 55 pieces.
