Katie Holmes and Her Stylist Unveil Collection

Remember when Katie Holmes appeared at the Tropic Thunder premiere in that awful dress she designed? Well, prepare to bear witness to a matching clothing line resembling that dress.
Despite mixed feelings among fashion blogs regarding her fashion ventures, Mrs. Cruise appears to think that Miuccia Prada rubbed off on her enough during those Miu Miu ads to put out her own line.
Katie and her stylist Jeanne Yang will be putting out an entire collection most likely in similar taste to the star’s style. The “premium designer” line, labeled Katie & Yang, will include both women’s and children’s wear.
Said to be full of “classic fare,” the clothes will be sold exclusively at Maxfield in Los Angeles this fall.
With her acting resume, stint on Broadway, performance on So You Think You Can Dance?, and now this designing gig, Katie seems so confused as to what her calling in life truly is.

‘Gossip Girl’ Reels In Two More Designers

Designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman (of Marchesa) were spotted on the set of the CW’s hit show, Gossip Girl.
The pair shot separate scenes for an episode scheduled to air October 5th. While most are keeping their mouths shut regarding the two guest stars, it was revealed that part of the show takes place on a set similar to Burch’s office.
“I am a huge fan [of ‘Gossip Girl’],” Chapman said. Despite having appeared in several movies prior to the taping, the 33 year-old former model “was very nervous [on-set].”

Victoria Beckham Isn’t Red Hot

I’m not sure what I’m disliking more about Victoria Beckham: the fact that she showed up for another round of American Idol auditions (despite profusely denying reports that she’s to take over Paula Abdul’s spot) or her outfit.
Wearing her own red cashmere-blend creation (she wore the gray version of the dress months earlier), the former Spice Girl seems to have allowed the stress and pressures of America’s most popular television program get to her. How could she do this to us?
Then again, she somewhat salvages the outfit with those spicy Christian Louboutins…

Marisa Tomei Stars in Scott Sternberg’s Boy Lookbook

Seeming to follow no visible pattern aside from their celebrity statuses, Marisa Tomei is the latest actress to pose (following Michelle Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Sarah Silverman) for Scott Sternberg’s Boy lookbook.
Shot with Sternberg’s trademark Polaroid camera, Tomei flirtatiously prances around L.A.‘s infamous Chateau Marmont in various looks from the line’s Fall 2009 collection (sister to Sternberg’s Band of Outsiders line).
One thing this campaign has accomplished: they have me desperately wanting those Manolo Blahnik for Band of Outsiders lace-up stilettos. Check out the rest of the pictures after the jump!

Vogue’s September Cover Leaks

The always-stunning Charlize Theron appears to have graced the coveted spot for Vogue‘s September cover, looking as if she was born for it.
Despite the 214 page-drop from last year’s September issue, Vogue still trumps Elle, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan at 584 pages.
Now the question is whether or not Charlize, Hugh Jackman, and/or an exclusive story about a cheating man will entice you enough to pick up a copy when it hits newsstands in a few weeks.

Topshop‘s bloggers gave us a very nice peek at the boots coming straight from Ashish’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection, and boy do I wish I lived in London right now! Of course, there’s New York, but they’ll probably be gone in three seconds once they’re on the floor. Or maybe us online buyers have a glimpse of hope? Probably not, but I’m being optimistic here.
The boots hit stores next week.

Tommy Hilfiger Welcomes Baby Boy

American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife, Dee, welcomed a baby boy into the world this past Tuesday. Their son, named Sebastian Thomas, is the couple’s first child together; however, Tommy has four other children from a previous marriage and Dee has two sons also from a previous marriage.
“Dee’s doing well and Tommy’s over the moon,” a Hilfiger spokeswoman stated.
Born at Greenwhich Hospital, Sebastian weighed in at 9 pounds, 8 ounces.
