Sarah Jessica Parker

paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen at the UK premiere of Sex and the City 2 last night.

The actress - who plays fashion-conscious Carrie Bradshaw in the big-screen version of the TV series - donned a black armband and wore a stunning strapless dress, which she teamed with shoes and a clutch bag, which were all from the tragic designer’s collection.

“There’s only person I could have worn tonight and that was .”

Karl Lagerfeld and Diane KrugerDiane Kruger thinks of as her “stepfather.”

The stunning actress has a very close relationship with the designer and says she loves working with him.

“He is like a stepfather to me. We’re very close - we just get on so well. He is a very curious person, he’s very interested in people in general. I’ve known him since I was 16-years-old, ever since I first started to model and he has always been so kind. We go way back. People have said I am his muse but I don’t think I’d call myself that. It’s not how I think of our relationship. That’s big. It’s hard to describe Karl, he really is one of a kind.”

The 33-year-old beauty loves Karl’s designs for Chanel because they are so classic: “What’s not to love about Chanel? It’s timeless, it’s chic. I don’t know many people that don’t like it. I love it.”

While she is a devoted Chanel fan, Diane is also an admirer of Calvin Klein and was recently announced as the new face of the fashion house’s latest fragrance, Beauty.

Alicia Keys—Roberto Cavalli reveals that he is “a completely typical man,” in that women drive him crazy. Considering that it’s Cavalli, I’m more inclined to think that he’s the one driving the opposite (and possibly same?) sex crazy.

—Although she’s usually looking sultry and glamorous, Alicia Keys showed up to the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in London looking frumpy and too layered. She may be aiming for flower petals, but all I see is a feathered animal.

—Even though she’s apparently loaded with cash, Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady need not worry about being sued. A New York judge dismissed a case carried by photographers who claim they were shot by bodyguards at the famous couple’s Costa Rican wedding.

—Supermodel Kate Moss spends some serious vacation time topless on a Caribbean beach with boyfriend Jamie Hince of The Kills. The couple even wore matching bathing suit bottoms!

Sarah BurtonSarah Burton has been appointed the new creative director of .

The designer had been the right-hand aide of McQueen, who committed suicide in February, for the past 16 years and has now been promoted at the London-based fashion house. She was credited with completing McQueen’s last-ever collection - which was showcased at Paris Fashion Week in March - and won rave reviews from the fashion world.

Speaking about the announcement, Burton paid tribute to McQueen, real name Lee, saying, “The creation of modern, beautifully crafted clothes was at the heart of Lee’s vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy.”

Jonathan Akeroyd, president and CEO of Alexander McQueen, said, “We are delighted that Sarah has agreed to take on the role of creative director. Having worked alongside Lee McQueen for more than 14 years, she has a deep understanding of his vision, which will allow the company to stay true to its core values.”

He is hoping her appointment will help strengthen the brand, with future plans including launching a men’s underwear collection: “Sarah is extremely talented and under her creative leadership we are ready to enter a new phase in the brand’s history.”

Naomi CampbellSupermodel used to think she “wouldn’t survive” the modeling world.

The 40-year-old British beauty admits she pushed herself too hard because she thought she would go “crazy” if she had to sit down and evaluate what she wanted out of life.

“To be honest, there were times I thought I wouldn’t survive. The time between 1998 and 2005 was especially bad. During that time I avoided looking in the mirror, because I didn’t like the person who was looking back at me. So I had to find out what I wanted and what I didn’t want. The thing is, as a model you’re used to being on the go, so just the thought of sitting down and thinking about something drives you crazy. I used to have a lot of problems. Amongst others I drank too much so I joined the Alcoholics Anonymous to get and stay sober.”

The supermodel - who is dating Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin - insists she now has no interest in going out parting because her priorities have changed as she has grown older: “I’ve grown up. I’ve stopped driving myself to exhaustion. I want to lead a calm life. I’m done with partying. When you get older things that seemed important to you when you were 20 suddenly lose significance.”

Karl Lagerfeld

To me, can do no wrong. Case in point: he makes consumers want to buy washing machines.

The creative director of recently lent his modeling skills to French mail-order company 3 Suisses for their catalogue. He said of posing with the unconventional prop, “It is so chic and pretty. I would like to have one—not to wash clothes but to put in my dressing room to hold my dirty laundry.”

He also spoke of world domination…

Rihanna sporting a fanny pack—After 7 years at the French fashion house, Jean Paul Gaultier will be leaving Hermès to concentrate on his own label. His last collection will be the Spring/Summer 2011 range scheduled to debut this October at Paris Fashion Week.

—If anyone can bring the fanny pack back, it’s Rihanna. The print-happy R&B singer was spotted in Ireland sporting a leopard Dolce & Gabbana bag around her waist. Sightseeing in style!

—After a year of everyone chasing down Olivier Theyskens following his departure from Nina Ricci, the designer is finally coming out with his first project. Theyskens is set to design a capsule collection for Theory, scheduled to appear in their Spring/Summer 2011 range.

—Kelly Osbourne has opted for a new hair color and admits that she’s become an exercise addict, going to the gym even when she doesn’t feel well!

—Kristen Stewart graces the cover for UK Elle looking… awkward. Not only does her face look strained, but her pose is slightly contorted (in a bad way). Twi-hards really ought to stop gobbling up these magazines; I’m rather tired of seeing her on fashion magazines.

Marc Jacobs on a Louis Vuitton trunkThere was once a time when wanted to get rid of Louis Vuitton’s monogram print.

The fashion designer, who is now the creative director of the fashion house, wasn’t keen on the company’s famous logo when he started there 12 years ago, but soon realized it would be a mistake to lose it from the collections.

“When I arrived at Louis Vuitton 12 years ago, and I was figuring out how to create a new tier of Vuitton for a different customer, I thought it would be clever to hide that monogram, which was very stupid of me. That logo is part of what makes the Vuitton so desirable. It allows people to become members of an aspirational club.”

Although there are many fake Louis Vuitton bags around, Jacobs is confident the label will always remain desirable as consumers know its quality: “The real Vuitton will always be about a level of quality and attention to detail that makes it aspirational. It’s about display and when that gets out of control it’s a disaster, but in moderation, it’s lovely. You can either be ashamed of having pride in your appearance or you can relish it in an intelligent way.”

Lindsay Lohan lightens her hairIt would appear that Lindsay Lohan is celebrating her random drug tests and SCRAM bracelet with a new

an old hair style.

The natural redhead lightened her dark brunette locks shortly after her court hearing yesterday, having spent 9 hours in the Andy Lecompte salon in West Hollywood.

She may be thinking that a lighter ‘do is her good luck charm… Three summers ago, Lohan was photographed at a beach party in her SCRAM ankle bracelet—in a bathing suit. Looks like she’s hoping to (similarly) be swiftly out of the

ball and chain

electronic accessory this time around.

Either way, as much as I don’t fancy her blatant lying, she can always pull off any hair color. I think I have yet to see her have a bad hair day. Then again, if she can post $100,000 for bail, I would hope that she had the money for a good hair stylist!

I wonder what her hair color will be on her July 6th court date…
