Comedienne has signed on to guest star in at least one episode of Glee, which will air in October or November. Rumor has it that Burnett - a comedy legend well-known for her work on the small screen - will be playing Sue Sylvester’s mother.

This has got to be one of the greatest casting decisions ever. Carol has won six Emmy awards over the course of her career, and she’ll definitely be a great complement to ’s acerbic character.

Next February, the two actors will both voice gay characters in an episode of .

“Terry [voiced by Jason Sudeikis] falls in love with a guy voiced by Justin,” creator Rich Appel revealed. Of course, Timberlake - who has made people laugh with late-night sketches like “Motherlover” - should have no problem tackling this role. “Justin is just hysterical!” Appel added.

The singer also has a few big screen projects heading to theaters this year. Justin can be heard as the voice of Boo-Boo Bear in the movie version of Yogi Bear opening December 17. Meanwhile, - co-starring Jessie Eisenberg - debuts on October 1.

Mary Hart-30 Rock will be throwing in a Saturday Night Live-esque twist this fall. On October 14, actors from the NBC comedy will do two live primetime tapings—one for each coast.

-Mary Hart has announced that she will leave Entertainment Tonight after completing her 30th year with the program. It’s believed Lara Spencer, host of The Insider, will eventually take over her spot.

-You knew she couldn’t keep away for long. Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell will once again return to daytime with a new show next year. The program will air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN.

-Can’t think of a better show title for Cougar Town? Well, neither can the producers. Although the comedy is considered to be an ensemble program, the ABC series will be keeping its name.

-Actor Jeff Goldblum has decided to leave Law & Order: Criminal Intent after two years with the program. “Uncertainty” about the show’s future reportedly played a part in his decision.



Steve Carell’s character Michael Scott will be , but producers are already eyeballing a new funnyman to take his place.

According to rumors, Ricky Gervais may soon join the ranks of the NBC sitcom. Gervais played David Brent in the original UK version of .

Executive producer Paul Lieberstein dished on some of the details: “We talked about it today for a while. It’s not the leading idea…it’s not a dead idea.” Of course, there might be some story issues. “[Brent] was fired for incompetence, so we’d have to create some back story for what happened.”
