When Weeds returns to Showtime next month, fans will see the Botwins taking a new path - straight out of town.
Last summer’s deadly finale will result in new adventures for both the family and the comedy’s writers in Season 6.
“You have to reinvent the show. Now we’re about to send the characters fleeing on the road so you have the opportunity to make new characters, new personas,” executive producer Victoria Morrow explained at a Comic-Con panel. “[It’s] basically a decimation of all the Botwins’ work and a rebirth.”

Justin Bieber to Make His Acting Debut

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, FOX, Gossip, Video,
We’ve often heard girls scream on CSI, but I’m not sure they’ve screamed while watching CSI.
Although he’s already appeared in a few Saturday Night Live sketches, Justin Bieber won’t officially make his acting debut until later this fall. That’s when the teen singing sensation helps the hit CBS drama kick off its 11th season.
Bieber, 16, will play Jason McCann, a “troubled teen” who has an “explosive confrontation” with the CSIs following a situation involving his only brother. It’s a storyline that won’t see a conclusion until later in the season.
This won’t be the first time the hit series has featured a popular young singer. Taylor Swift also guested on an episode of CSI back in March 2009.

“Somebody’s Crying” singer Chris Isaak may soon have reason to smile.
According to a new report, the performer best known for the song “Wicked Game” is being considered to replace American Idol judge Simon Cowell. Isaak, who has also acted in film and television, has already met with network executives twice about the job.
Chris is just one of several musicians rumored for the coveted position. Kara DioGuardi’s choice, Harry Connick Jr., has been mentioned. Meanwhile, an eager Bret Michaels is supposedly out of the running.
Figures outside of the recording industry have also expressed interest in filling the vacancy. Despite his association with NBC, Donald Trump is reportedly one of those who has thrown their hat into the ring.

Damages Moves to DirecTV

Don’t already have DirecTV? You may want to get it now.
After three years on FX, Damages found itself heading toward the chopping block. Fortunately, the critically-acclaimed drama has just been given new life…on a new home.
The satellite service that helped save Friday Night Lights, has just placed a two-season order for the series. But unlike the NBC sports drama, Damages won’t get a second run on a different network. It will air only on DirecTV.
“It’s a win for our customers because only they will be able to see these new episodes and another great step forward for DirecTV as we continue to build our growing portfolio of exclusive, award winning programming,” Patty Ishimoto, vice president of entertainment for DirecTV said.
Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are both expected to return with the series in 2011.

Charice Gets Cosmetic Treatments for Big Glee Debut

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX, Rumors, Video,
Fresh-faced Filipino singer Charice Pempengco, who made quite a stir after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age 15, underwent multiple cosmetic treatments before beginning her first day of shooting on the FOX hit Glee. Reportedly, Charice, 18, wanted to “look fresh.”
It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world. Charice went through 30 minutes of Thermage skin-tightening and Botox so her “naturally round” face would look a little more narrow on camera, according to cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo.
The unorthodox decision has created a hot debate in the media. How young is too young for Botox, skin-tightening and anti-aging treatments? The answer seems to be: 18. What do you think? Is Charice going a little overboard to appear Glee, or is she just playing the regular Hollywood game?
