Heroes' Zachary QuintoI guess Hayden Panettiere won’t need to grow out her hair anytime soon.

According to a source, a movie that could have given Heroes fans closure won’t be happening after all. The project had been considered a possibility when the show was canceled after Season 4.

Earlier this summer, Tim Kring spoke to EW about the movie’s status.

“No decision has been made,” the show’s creator said. “But the Heroes brand is an extremely broad premise. It was a premise about ordinary people, an undisclosed number of people all over the world, who were waking up to these extraordinary abilities. Any number of stories could happen around that. We never posited a single ending or a single premise ... We told stories in volumes that had a beginning, a middle, and an end. Those volumes could go on and on and on with many different characters.”

NBC has not yet confirmed the cancellation report.

The idea seems to have sprung from a post on Reddit, and everything has snowballed since. A and website have now been created for the rally, which has been given an October 10, 2010 date. A locale for the rally has also been named: Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Memorial, where Beck held his event. Fund-raising and merchandising will help fund the rally. “Dreadful. I saw one episode where they had the contestants try to identify the ingredients of chili. ‘I’m guessing there’s onion in there’—you know what I’m saying? ‘There might be beef too.’ I wish Gordon Ramsay well, but I think remains the benchmark.”
