In the year’s most highly-anticipated episode of Glee, the New Directions traveled from Lima, Ohio to the grand city of New York, New York.
The opening started with Times Square, larger than life with its lights and billboards. In the midst of it all stood Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) in her adorable striped coat. “I made it,” she breathed. And that’s how it all began.

Glee’s New Scene-Stealer: Who is Dot Jones?

Glee’s second season opener gave fans plenty to Tweet about (Chord Overstreet and Charice are adorable, Finn Hudson is on the brink of becoming terminally uncool and Quinn’s back on the top of the Cheerios heap), but one newcomer is getting a lot of unexpected buzz following the Tuesday premiere. Her name is Dot Jones, her character is Coach Beiste and we’ve got the sneaking suspicion she’s the new breakout star on the show.
Jones enjoyed major screen time in her debut episode, setting up several juicy possibilities straightaway. She clearly has an enemy in Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester (a dynamic you can expect to get very interesting indeed), but possibly a friend in the form of much-maligned Glee club coach Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). We know very little about Coach Beiste, but we can explore the actress formerly unknown as Dot Jones.

Sneak Peek: Glee Season 2

We’ve managed to obtain a video of the Glee Season 2 sneak peek that was released on iTunes, and we’re sharing it.
The small snippet is filled with funny quips featuring two of the show’s greatest rivals: Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). The Cheerios captain is back in fighting form, and manages to get in a zinger mocking the New Directions Regionals loss in less than 90 seconds (ouch!).

Glee Gossip: Who Will Carol Burnett Play?

Comedienne Carol Burnett has signed on to guest star in at least one episode of Glee, which will air in October or November. Rumor has it that Burnett - a comedy legend well-known for her work on the small screen - will be playing Sue Sylvester’s mother.
This has got to be one of the greatest casting decisions ever. Carol has won six Emmy awards over the course of her career, and she’ll definitely be a great complement to Jane Lynch’s acerbic character.
