On Gear Live: Apple’s HUGE Siri Apple Intelligence Fumble w/ John Gruber - Geared Up 205

This Week on TV (2/18-2/24)

America's Next Top Model

MONDAY (2/18)
  • Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Tonight may be the end of the show as we currently know it.  Maybe Michael can finally let go of that steely gaze now.
  • Dance War (ABC, 8pm):  The next contenders will be announced during the spinoff’s season finale.  Finally, a reason for me to watch.
  • Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm):  Robin Antin is searching for a gal to complete an entirely different musical act.  With Danity Kane already taken, she had to settle for the 2nd crappiest group name available.
  • My Dad is Better Than Your Dad (NBC, 9pm):  “This competition series features fathers and their children in challenges that test the patriarch’s strength, intelligence and parenting skills.”  Since when did NBC start stealing ideas from ?

MONDAY (2/4)
  • Welcome to the Captain (CBS, 8:30):  Series premiere.  “A Hollywood wunderkind in a career slump is persuaded by his friend to move into his famous Tinseltown apartment building with an eclectic group of tenants.”  Eclectic = show gone soon.
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm):  “John discovers the figure may be bleaker than he imagined.”  I’m confused.  If he’s currently in 2007, he should have already seen what the future looks like in .
  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS, 9:30):  Season Three premiere.  “Christine gets overly nervous about sleeping with Mr. Harris () for the first time.”  I think I already saw this episode…..on .

Achy Breaky Reality Show

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Kids, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Cable,

DescriptionWho would’ve thought that “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and mullet wearer-extraordinaire, Billy Ray Cyrus, would ever make a comeback? With the starring role on the series Doc on PAX TV, a handful of guest appearances and now, most notably, a role on , is officially back. And he’s not just riding daughter coattails now. He’s taking his return to fame and running with it—with a new reality series, of course. Cyrus is working with CMT to develop a reality show that shows his life as a musician and dad. The show, titled Billy Ray Cyrus: Home at Last, doesn’t seem like it will be nearly as entertaining as Being Bobby Brown, but I’m sure he’ll tap into loads of fans on . Plus, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at daddy getting ready to tour and Miley/Hannah getting set to tour. The show will debut on November 24th at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrities Riding Bulls—And That’s No Bull

Vanilla IceHere we are, entering the doldrums of summer television programming… but never fear, CMT (Country Music Television) has a new brand of celebrity reality that’s sure to please. Prepare yourself for B, C, and D-listers as they (drum roll…) ride bulls. Given that there’s not much to watch now that the season has wrapped, and how I love to see lame celebrities on reality shows, I may just have to check this one out. Here’s what’s in store: the Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge features nine celebs as they are tutored in the ways of bull riding by Ty Murray. This guy’s the real deal too—okay, so I had to look him up, but he’s won an impressive seven All-Around World Championship titles for bull riding. Oh, and his girlfriend is singer Jewel. The show will begin on August 10th on CMT and include Vanilla Ice, Stephen Baldwin, Leif Garrett, American Gladiators’ Dan “Nitro” Clark, Jonny “Fairplay” Dalton (Survivor), and other less exciting celebs (if that’s possible). Word to your mother.
