SNL Newbie Accidentally Drops F-Bomb

What a way to make a debut! All eyes may have been on Megan Fox, but all ears were focused on an entirely different actor last night.

During a sketch called “Biker Chit Chat,” newcomer Jenny Slate could be heard saying the real F-word during the East Coast version of the show. Although she managed to move on with her performance, it’s clear the SNL player realized the mistake she had made.

Megan Fox is the Host With the Most

So the sources were true—Megan Fox will indeed be hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

In the promo clips for the show, which airs on NBC this Saturday night at 11 p.m., Fox jokes with SNL cast member Andy Samberg (focusing yet again on all of the “hot” jokes surrounding the Transformers star).

At one point, Samberg tells Megan, “God, you are so beautiful,” to which she realizes he was talking about a guy standing next to her.

Sunday Ratings: Emmys Improve, Football Scores

Neil Patrick Harris at the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards

The winners might not have changed, but the numbers did. One year after seeing its lowest scores on record, the Emmys actually showed (some) improvement.

CBS’ airing Primetime Emmy Awards averaged 13.3 million (4.2/11 in 18-49) over the three-hour telecast. That’s an increase of 8% in the viewers and 11% in the key demos. While it’s hard to pinpoint a reason for the uptick, many have attributed the rising numbers to host Neil Patrick Harris.

Meanwhile, an entirely different competition was taking place over at NBC. The close battle between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys sacked approximately 22.4 million viewers (16.5/27). That now stands as NBC’s best overnight score ever from the series.

SNL Lines Up Ryan Reynolds, Gerard Butler and Lady Gaga

Gerard ButlerMegan Fox may be an enticing reason for men to watch Saturday Night Live, but she won’t be the only appealing guest this season.

On October 3, the Green Lantern‘s Ryan Reynolds will visit the NBC program with musical performer Lady Gaga in tow. (Given the late hour, we can only imagine what “Poker Face” star will wear.)

Reynolds’ stint will be followed by an appearance from Kristen Wiig’s co-star Drew Barrymore on October 10. (Drew will be accompanied by singer Regina Spektor.) Then on October 17, 300 hunk Gerard Butler will take the stage with “She Wolf” Shakira serving as the hip-shaking musical act.

SNL‘s 35th season will kick off with Megan Fox on September 26. U2 will the ones rocking the house on that night.

VIDEO: Kanye West Gets Emotional on Jay Leno

UPDATE: New video added above includes a third apology from the rapper.

He was only supposed to perform with Rihanna and Jay-Z, but Kanye West found himself sitting on ‘s new set tonight. This appearance comes just hours after Kanye posted a new apology for singer Taylor Swift.

Although NBC has only provided teaser video so far (we’re working to find another clip), you can see the rapper become emotional when the host talks about his outburst at the Video Music Awards. (Asking what West’s deceased mother would have said about the matter was apparently the million dollar question.)

No Weekend Update Gig for SNL’s Kristen Wiig

Kristen WiigShe may in the middle of filming , and her movie Extract may currently be in theaters, but there’s one thing Kristen Wiig won’t be doing: co-anchoring the Weekend Update.

Despite reports that the Emmy-nominated SNL star was to join Seth Meyers on the news desk, sources are now telling Entertainment Weekly that the buzz simply isn’t true. “It’s an Internet-fueled rumor,” the insider claims.

So who will eventually take over ‘s seat? (The Parks and Recreation actress will reclaim her spot in the first few shows of the season.) Since Meyers has managed to fly solo post-Poehler’s exit, it’s quite possible it’ll remain a one-man band.
