Tuesday Ratings: Solid Return for Fringe

Okay - so Fringe might have had a little help from Adam Lambert. But FOX would have won anyway right? Despite its long absence, the freshman series returned last night to stronger numbers than when it left.

Wednesday Ratings: CBS Gets Last Laugh from Special

Watching people work ordinary jobs might not seem interesting, but it apparently is when celebrities do it. The April Fools’ Special, I Get That a Lot, surprised many last night by pulling in stronger than expected numbers.  Unfortunately, a win over Lie to Me wasn’t quite enough for CBS. Idol still put FOX on top for the night.

Reaper's Bret Harrison90210's Dustin Milligan

In today’s installment, we have ‘s Bret Harrison on the left and 90210‘s Dustin Milligan on the right.

One is the (supposed) son of the Devil and the other has just been demoted on his show.

Sucks to be either one of them.

(Make sure to check out more of our Celebrity Double-Takes here, here and here.)

Tuesday Ratings: Osbournes Enjoy Post-Idol High

Dropped by 16 affiliates? Who cares! When you’re given a post-American Idol time slot, you’ll always do well. Despite being blocked in parts of the country, Osbournes: Reloaded still enjoyed a nice turnout last night. The variety show - combined with the reality version - helped give FOX a double win last night.

90210: Silver Loses Control

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Spoilers,

After multiple weeks on hiatus, returned to TV last night with an all new episode that started bringing several stories to a head. Annie and Ethan broke up; Naomi and Liam started something new. And Silver…well, she’s gone completely insane.

Yeah, the show is getting pretty good.

Erin Silver, played wonderfully by , is actually one of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 characters. She was born during the third season of the series, daughter of Kelly Taylor’s mother and David Silver’s father (they were married for a spell). She’s also been part of the main 90210 cast since the pilot episode of the series. Silver began to feature more prominently in the series when she started having a relationship with Dixon. But now, the character seems to be heading toward a whole new story arc.

90210 Season 2 Shockers

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors, Spoilers,

90210

The buzz around ’s second season has already begun, and fans of the show are in for a ride. Expect to see “significant” changes…even involving the main cast.

Dustin Milligan, the actor behind the hot jock character Ethan, is no longer part of that main cast. His contract isn’t being renewed, though Milligan may make another handful of appearances to wrap up or move along certain story lines.

Interestingly, Matt Lanter (who plays newcomer Liam) will be bumped up to regular cast member in the second season. New episodes of 90210‘s first season, still in progression, will return this Tuesday night after several weeks on hiatus. The first new installment will feature both Liam and Ethan in an episode that will advance both their stories.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

The Closer: Mary McDonnell has just lined up her next basic cable job. The Battlestar Galactica vet just has been cast as Christina Hatcher, head of the Force Investigation Division. Unfortunately for Brenda, this captain won’t exactly be a member of her fan club. McDonnell is slated to appear in several Season 5 episodes.

Wednesday Ratings: ABC Lost Behind FOX

The bleeding just won’t stop for Lost. Placed against another two-hour edition of Idol (Thanks, Obama!), the ABC series hit another round of series-low numbers.

Tuesday Ratings: Reaper Reaps the Benefits

Wednesday Ratings: Lost Hits All-Time Low

As I predicted, Lost was not better off with Ted last night. Even though most shows saw decreases yesterday, the ABC series had its smallest audience to date.
