Monday Ratings: Premiere Excitement Fades in Week 2

Are viewers already bored with the Monday schedule? Minus a few exceptions, the ratings chart this week was full of down arrows—including one for The Event, the series that has raised a lot of buzz for NBC. In the end, Dancing with the Stars’ ballroom action kept ABC on top of the viewers and the demos.

Monday Ratings: Dancing with the Stars a Winner for ABC

The first official night of the fall television season saw five new shows vying for our attention. Despite good starts from Hawaii Five-0, Mike & Molly and The Event, Dancing with the Stars remained strong for ABC. Meanwhile, Lone Star proved a position post-House doesn’t necessarily mean ratings gold.

90210 Season Three Premiere: Worth the Wait?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Video,

Summer’s over, and the West Bev kids have returned to school for their senior year. This was the plot of The CW’s Season 3 premiere, sensibly titled “Senior Year, Baby.” (Watch the first two minutes of the video to hear that line get repeated way too many times).

But did the episode bring all the drama fans expected? Well, there was a natural disaster, a life-altering injury and a rape flashback…and that was just the first ten minutes. The fatal car crash came a few scenes later.

90210 cast

It’s been 20 years since the show first premiered, but the time has finally come—the day when became an actual date.

Although the fall season has not yet officially begun, the CW wants to make sure September 2, (20)10, a.k.a. “90210 Day,” does not go unnoticed. To help celebrate this fairly insignificant date in television history, the network will pull out all the stops: its planning to air a re-run on Thursday night.

There will be others, though, taking this event a bit more seriously. CNN personality Larry King will help host a bash in Beverly Hills. Fans are planning to attend 90210 showings at various locations including the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles.

90210

Insiders say that will re-address homosexuality next season, this time in a much bigger way. One of the series’ leading hotties - Liam (Matt Lanter), Navid (Michael Steger) or Teddy (Trevor Donovan) - will come out. Co-executive producer Jennie Urman said the show wants to “address the issue in a real and relatable way.”

The character will come to grips with his own sexuality and then face it realistically. No matter which character finds the truth in himself, at least one power couple will be lost for ever: Silver/Teddy, Liam/Naomi or Navid/Adrianna.

Gossip says that the intriguing storyline will be carried out by Teddy, the show’s resident womanizer. Big twist!
