On Gear Live: 2024 Nissan Z Nismo Review

Bugs and bartenders on B & the GLast week, we saw the booting of, arguably, Beauty and the Geek’s strongest team - John and Natalie. Tonight, the beauties were challenged by creepies and crawlies, while the geeks got cocktail fever. The geeks were told that they would be participating in a trick bartending competition - i.e. Tom Cruise in Cocktail, flipping bottles and pouring drinks. A bartending expert gave the geeks a demonstration of what they would have to do to win their challenge. Meanwhile, the beauties were only told to study their zoology books in preparation for their challenge, which would remain a secret until the next day.

Join me after the jump to see which geek finally makes his move on another geek, which beauties were brought to tears and who gets sent home.

Batista and Undertaker face-offMonday Night RAW kicked off tonight with a surprise appearance from Friday Night Smackdown’s World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. How long has Batista been doing this? He is still an absolute nightmare on the microphone. He delivers all of his lines with the excitement of a brick and the cadence of Christopher Walken. Thank god for an equally surprising appearance by The Undertaker. Nothing like a little hype for Survivor Series at the top of the show. I still wish they’d make ’Taker look pale and give him purple boots and gloves.

Just to point out how bad Batista is, when discussing his “Hell in the Cell” match against The Undertaker this Sunday, he said, “Weapons are not only welcome … they’re allowed.” Stunning words. Absolutely stunning words.

The code has officially been cracked - when will the man behind SAVE_US.222 be revealed? Find out after the jump.

Booker T on TNAFormer WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Booker T made his Total Nonstop Action wrestling debut tonight at the company’s Genesis pay-per-view. Fans have speculated for weeks that Booker would be Sting’s mystery partner for the main event, where they would take on Kevin Nash and TNA Champion Kurt Angle. Booker left the WWE a few months ago over disputes about his move to the RAW brand, as well as his suspension after supposedly failing WWE drug testing.

Booker received a huge ovation when his familiar, “Can you dig it, sucka’?” catchphrase played throughout the Impact Zone arena. While Booker did have the chance to win the TNA World Title, he came up empty handed as Angle retained after pinning Sting.

Apprentice celeb edition: coming soon“Stars” of the new celebrity edition of were seen putting a nail in their coffins on the streets of New York this past week. I’d like to take this moment to hold a proverbial candlelight vigil for the careers of Piers Morgan, Omarosa (did she have a career?), Trace Adkins, Marilu Henner, Stephen Baldwin, playmate Tiffany Fallon, Lennox Lewis, Vincent Pastore and Gene Simmons. I am aware that many of these beloved characters left us a long time ago (I’m looking in your direction Baldwin).  I also know that this isn’t necessarily the end for the likes of Adkins and Ortiz. But let’s face it, starring on the “celebrity edition” of any reality show is like having unprotected sex with a Brazilian hooker - it may not mean instant death, but it’s a step in the right - er - wrong direction.

This gaggle of C-listers were seen in New York shilling out hotdogs to tourists during an Apprentice challenge. Apparently former WWE Champion John Cena was among the contestants, but he gets a pass because he is only there due to an injury that will sideline him for up to a year. Among those who showed up to gawk were New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and rotting porn star Jenna Jameson.

Kathy Griffin’s Emmy acceptance speech, which was taped, will be edited before it airs on the upcoming E! channel broadcast. E! will show the taped portion of the Emmys on Saturday, though the prime time Emmys will be broadcast live on FOX Sunday night. In a Monday statement, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences called Griffin’s remarks “offensive” and said they would not be part of the E! telecast. Here’s what Griffin said: “A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus.” She then held up her word and announced, “This award is my god now!” Religious critics are already calling Griffin’s words a “hate speech” and “blasphemous.”

Harry Potter

Reviews of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the much-anticipated final installment to J.K. Rowling’s boy wizard saga, appeared in two newspapers on Thursday. The problem is, the book isn’t supposed to be sold until 12:01 am July 21, 2007. The New York Times and Baltimore Sun both published reviews of the book, allegedly angering series creator/writer J.K. Rowling. The New York Times claims its copy of Deathly Hallows was purchased in the city on Wednesday, and the Sun assured its readers the book their paper obtained was “through legal and ordinary means.” Yet, nearly everyone in the country has pre-ordered the book or is waiting, with baited breath, for its release – and none of them have managed to get advanced copies.
