As we all know by know, T.R. Knight will not survive to see another season of while Katherine Heigl will. But that doesn’t mean the Ugly Truth actress won’t get a nice break from her awful 17-hour work days.

Although she was forced to stick by her contract (we all know she so wants to leave), Heigl is being granted a 5-episode leave from the series. Why? Because she needs to continue working on her big screen career. During her absence, Katherine will be busy filming with Josh Duhamel (Las Vegas).

Sydney Andrews - Melrose Place

Original viewers got quite a shock in 1997 when Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) was tragically killed on her wedding day. But viewers of the new series will see her brought back from the grave…only to return to that same grave shortly into the first episode.

Sydney will be found floating in the pool just after she’s brought back to life. It’s the sort of thing that could only happen at Melrose Place.

“It will feel nostalgic, but it’s not the old Melrose,” said Todd Slavkin, one of the show’s writers. “Sydney’s death in the first 10 minutes…means anything could happen.”

Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-AnnAcross the Universe starlet Evan Rachel Wood is shaking things up over in Bon Temps on HBO’s hit series, True Blood (not that it needs any more shaking up), and she can’t wait to drop some hints!

While Wood is no stranger to television, there is no doubt that this will be her sexiest character yet. Of her 1,100 year-old Queen Sophie-Anne, Wood explains, “She’s not necessarily a lesbian. Her human partner is a girl, but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways [laughs]. I think vampires are like that in general.”

Though she didn’t divulge a name when asked about Bill and Eric, she confirms that she’ll be having a “steamy” scene with someone whom we wouldn’t expect.

Coming from someone who nabbed a guest starring role because she herself is a fan, Rachel couldn’t believe what was in store for the last two episodes…

The cast gathered recently for a live table read of the upcoming abortion issue, which has already made headlines in the media. So, did FOX’s animated prime time comedy tread very carefully around this hot-button issue? If you’ve got to ask, you just aren’t familiar with the show.

The episode, “Partial Terms of Endearment,” features a plot in which Lois Griffin (wife to title character Peter) becomes a surrogate mother for two friends. The couple goes on to die in a car accident, leaving Lois to ponder of the mysteries of life and possible abortion for the fetus she’s carrying.
