American Idol 9: Top 24 Revealed
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Spoilers, Video,
American Idol 9’s Hollywood session finally came to close Wednesday night, when the remaining members of the season’s Top 24 contenders was slowly, painfully revealed. How close is the reality to the spoilers that were released weeks and weeks ago? There’s only one way to find out.
Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelly, Didi Benami, Casey James, Todrick Hall, Lee Dewyze and Katelyn Epperly were all revealed as Top 24 contestants at the end of Tuesday’s two-hour marathon episode. Wednesday would narrow the remaining 37 would-be Idols down to a mere 17.
Janelle Wheeler was the first to be featured on the episode. The pretty blonde auditioned in Orlando and won her shot to Hollywood on a split decision from the judges. Wheeler was disappointed in her final solo performance in Hollywood, admitting that she “couldn’t take the pressure” once it was all over. Ellen DeGeneres led Wheeler’s interview. “It’s hard to tell somebody that has a great voice that they’re not going to go through,” she said, then surprised Janelle by giving her the good news - Wheeler is indeed in the Top 24.
Tyler Grady, who has something of a Jim Morrison vibe, was the next to face the judging panel. Kara DioGuardi remarked on his 70s-ish performance style, then smilingly welcomed him into Top 24.

Lost Producers Tease Jimmy Kimmel with Show Secrets

WARNING: Do not watch these clips unless you’ve had a chance to watch last night’s episodes.
If you’re a follower of Jimmy Kimmel, you already know the ABC host is a big-time fan of Lost. It’s his love of the show - and his attention to detail - that makes this interview with executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof quite interesting.
Did you notice the people not on that plane? How about the number of vodka bottles Jack had? And what was the significance of Groundhog Day premiere?
Note: Cuse and Lindelof announced that the series finale will air on May 23, a Sunday.

An Idol Conspiracy? Vote for the Worst Thinks So
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Rumors, Spoilers,
In what is truly one of the cruelest headlines in the blogosphere, anti-American Idol site Vote for the Worst is crying conspiracy in Season 9. The site claims that Idol is so determined to get a female winner this year, the producers are purposefully stacking the Top 24 with male contestants who aren’t…shall we say, photogenic.
Pictures for the crop of Top 12 men are still pretty few and far between, and photos of every single one of them have not yet been obtained, which makes the conspiracy theory shaky at best. But more than that, American Idol has proven in past seasons that they don’t need to resort to a lot of contestant-stacking…not when they can go straight to the source and alter the votes themselves.

Rob Lowe Leaving Brothers & Sisters
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Gossip, Spoilers,
He’s endured several political runs, a heart attack, an adoption, his wife’s cancer and another man, but Robert McCallister has finally had enough.
After nearly four seasons on Brothers & Sisters, Rob Lowe has chosen to leave the program. Lowe, who was brought on early in the series to help spark ratings, simply felt being a Walker outsider wasn’t fulfilling anymore.
Rob’s decision may have come at a convenient time for the network. According to E! Online, ABC has been looking to get rid of a character to save money. So does this Robert’s marriage with Kitty won’t survive…or that the senator won’t? I’m sure we’ll find out during May sweeps.
