On Gear Live: 2024 Nissan Z Nismo Review

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar OdomKhloe Kardashian's husband Lamar Odom reportedly wants to quit reality TV.

The 32-year-old sportsman - who stars alongside the popular 27-year-old sister of Kim and Kourtney in various shows - is keen to move on with his life away from the cameras, but his wife is unsure if it is a good move.

"Lamar wants out of the reality TV limelight, but Khloe is convinced that if Lamar doesn't continue being on TV with her, there would be no Khloe. The whole reason Khloe has become so popular is because of her marriage to Lamar. She obviously doesn't want Lamar to be unhappy, but she knows that all the drama makes for good TV. Fame is Khloe's number one priority. Unfortunately, this is what she has been taught," an insider said.

His thoughts about the format - which sees them followed in all aspects of their life - have put a strain on their relationship, but as yet no permanent decision has been made.

Adele at this year's GrammysSimon Cowell is "desperate" to sign Adele as a judge on US X Factor.

The music mogul is putting together a lucrative offer to land the "Someone Like You" hitmaker for the program - which is short of two panellists following the sacking of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger - and insiders believe "money is not an option" because he is so impressed with her success.

"Simon is always looking for new directions and ideas. He thinks Adele's success and achievements are incredible. He recognizes that true musicianship and a serious approach can bring a lot of credibility and an extra dimension to his show," a source said.

It seems Simon isn't alone in wanting Adele for the show. "The producers love her," another insider added.

Simon recently praised the 23-year-old singer's "down-to-earth" attitude since she found fame and achieved "incredible success," which has included six Grammy prizes and two BRIT Awards earlier this year:

Britney SpearsBritney Spears has reportedly been offered $10 million to judge the US version of The X Factor.

The "Hold It Against Me" singer's fiance and manager Jason Trawick is said to have "been negotiating for some time," with executives for the talent search show. One source told E! news Britney has been offered the huge sum to appear on the second series of the show - which returns later this year - but she's said to be holding out for $16 million.

The first run of The X Factor was judged by show boss Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, although the latter two were subsequently axed after it failed to achieve the ratings Simon had hoped.

Simon is said to have initially approached Britney, and recently admitted he was "fascinated" by her and think she would be ideal for the show: "I would think that if she's managed to sustain in her family life in a career which is tough, this is a walk in the park."

Kelly ClarksonKelly Clarkson has joined the judging panel of new TV talent show Duets.

The "Stronger" hitmaker - who found fame on the first series of American Idol - will join forces with music legend Lionel Richie, as well as Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke on the upcoming ABC series, which is set to debut this summer.

After scouring the US for undiscovered talent, Duets will see the celebrity mentors paired with aspiring vocalists for a live performance in front of a studio audience each week, with the eventual winner bagging a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people that I believe in, sing with them every week, and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing that I can't wait to be a part of," Kelly said in a statement.

The 29-year-old singer - who worked as a guest mentor on The Voice last year - has previously admitted she has been given a "hard time" because she found success on a TV talent show: "People have given me such a hard time. I came from a singing show, so I like singing shows, obviously. What was the big shocker there?"

LeAnn RimesLeAnn Rimes has stepped closer to a job on The X Factor judging panel.

The "Can't Fight The Moonlight" hitmaker - who is believed to be filling one of the spots left vacant by axed judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger - reportedly spent all day Wednesday locked in a secret meeting with show chief Nigel Lythgoe.

While fellow X Factor boss Simon Cowell was not present, it was said to be a "great meeting," X17online.com reports.

In addition to her 18 years in the music business, LeAnn brings with her the accolade of being the younger Grammy winner in history at the age of just 14.

While the 29-year-old singer will find out whether she has landed the lucrative gig in the next three weeks, it is also thought troubled star Britney Spears is being lined up to join the panel: "Britney has had a tough few years but this would put her back at the very top. She would be great for the show and it could be great for her. In terms of excitement and intrigue Britney would top them all," an insider said.

Tommy HilfigerTommy Hilfiger has been hired as an image advisor for American Idol. In the newly-created position, the 60-year-old fashion designer will be charged with developing the style of each contestant.

"I will look at where they were, where they are today and the possibility of where they could go, because I don't think their image will evolve without some trial and error. 'We need to take into consideration their ages, color preferences, sizes, what types of music they will be performing, what they wear on their feet and how they wear their hair. There is going to be a real package put together on each person."

Talking about his decision to take on the role, he told WWD, "I thought it would be exciting and challenging and different, a place where I could use all of my experience in fashion and music. If you look at what makes a star, it's not only musical talent, it's the complete package. And that includes image. If you look at great superstars from Michael Jackson to Madonna and Lady Gaga and Katy Perry today, they each have a unique style and that adds to their persona. It's the icing on the cake."

Jaleel White on Dancing with the StarsOpera singer Katherine Jenkins, tennis legend Martina Navaratilova and Melrose Place actor Jack Wagner lead the Dancing with the Stars' line-up.

Joining the trio of famous faces when the 14th season of the celebrity dance competition hits screens on March 19 will be singers Gladys Knight and Gavin DeGraw, Disney star Roshon Fegan and Melissa Gilbert, the actress who played Laura Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie. Cuban actor and model William Levy, Extra host Maria Menounos, The View's Sherri Shepherd, NFL star Donald Driver and former child star Jaleel White round off the star-studded line-up.

However, Jaleel - who starred as Steven Urkel in 80s series Family Matters - admitted it was his mother who persuaded him to take part in the ABC show: "She was like, 'Boy, they're going to pay you to go learn how to dance? If you turn that down, don't even bring your butt home for Thanksgiving.'"

Meanwhile, Welsh singer Katherine - who is partnered alongside Mark Ballas - explained she is already "a little nervous" about her Dancing with the Stars debut:

Adam LevineAdam Levine would love to see Kanye West guest star on The Voice.

The Maroon 5 singer and mentor on the reality show thinks the outspoken rapper - famed for interrupting award shows to give his opinions - would be a great person to appear alongside the panel, although he's not sure if network NBC would be so keen.

Speaking on Anderson, he said he'd pick Kanye "just because he's such a firecracker. I'm sure that terrifies NBC, but that would be fun. I love Kanye, I love what he does."

Adam - who judges the show alongside Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton - also addressed rumors the mentors don't get on, saying their arguments are just for the camera: "It's fine. Everyone's so funny. They take one little thing. We bicker, like brother and sister kind of thing, but it's all in good fun. No one's carrying it with them anywhere other than the stage."

Simon CowellX Factor boss Simon Cowell has thanked judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones after they were axed from the show.

The show boss paid tribute to the trio after they were dropped from the series and wished them success in their careers - but he also announced plans to work with Paula on another project in the ''near future'.'

''I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year. We had a lot of fun making the show together and importantly, we found some real talent and stars. 'You do develop friendships with the people you work with and Paula, in particular, is a very close friend and I expect to be working with her on another project in the near future. 'I'm sure all three are going to have massive success in what they do next, but now is the time to thank them all for everything they did last year," Cowell said in a statement.

Following Simon's statement, Nicole took to her Twitter account to confirm she will not be returning to the US version of the show and she now plans to create ''great music'' in 2012: ''I wanted to let you know directly from me that it's true I won't be returning to The X Factor. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead and making great music and more! I'm grateful for the love you always give me.''

Biggest Loser no excuses

No excuses!!  How many times did that need to be said last night?

The first episode of the 'season of no excuses' started with the usual introductions, including all of the participant names, ages, and relationship between the teammates.  Alison stood in front of the gates of the ranch and let everyone know they were just about to enter the place where dreams come true (isn’t that Disney’s line?), that the tools they need to get healthy are behind these gates, and - most importantly - it is where they can get their lives back.

A few of the contestants gave what their excuses are for being so overweight, and as you might imagine, they were all fairly typical - thing like having no time to work out, being an emotional eater, putting things off until a tomorrow that never comes, laziness, and coming from a heavy family.  One woman has 13 children and 54 grandkids. There is usually a pretty emotional story for at least one contestant that keeps them in my mind throughout the season.  In previous years these included Bonnie (although not my favorite,) who lost her home in Hurricane Katrina, and then lost her husband shortly thereafter.  The one that sticks in my head the most is Abby. She lost her husband, daughter, and infant son in a car accident just miles from their home.

This season Buddy, 41, has 3 small children and his wife is his best friend (ok, cute.) He lost a daughter 5 years ago, and thus far he has the biggest tragedy that's been revealed. Ok Buddy, you are definitely going to be on my radar.  Ahh, I’m already feeling emotionally drained.  Let’s get those gates opened and get started with the process.
