Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine love to prank their fellow The Voice coaches. The "Your Body" singer recently announced she will take a break from the show next season in order to focus on her new album and Christina admitted leaving will be "bittersweet" because she has so much fun with her fellow mentors.

"It's bittersweet. I so enjoy being a coach to my team on The Voice [and] and at this point in season three, all of us coaches have truly bonded. When me and Adam are on breaks backstage, you know, we're writing profanity with my red lipstick all over Blake [Shelton]'s trailer while he's napping inside. It's like we have definitely become like brother and sister. We goof around and play around. I'm going to miss it," she told E! News.

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez are set to host The X Factor. The pop star search show started last week, but still lacks a presenter to front its live episodes, but sources say reality TV star Khloe and former Saved by the Bell actor are the poised to sign on as presenters.

Mario - who appeared in the third season of Dancing with the Stars in 2006 - was tipped to host the first series of the show last year, but the job went to Steve Jones, who was dropped after unsatisfactory ratings. Show boss Simon Cowell has previously hinted Khloe, 28, was his first choice to host the show. "I know whom I would like, but now I have to get it approved by the network. We have screen-tested a load of people ... It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I'm a fan of putting inexperienced hosts on this show. We have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloe is definitely up there in the running," he said earlier this year.

Nicki MinajNicki Minaj joined American Idol because it is a "credible brand."

The "Starships" singer - who was recently confirmed as a judge on the talent show, sitting alongside Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban on the panel - claims she had offers from other singing and reality shows but went for 'Idol' as it has so much history.

"This is such a credible brand. It's really serious, it's real deal it's not anything else other than really looking for talent. If I can be a part of that I'm really down for it," she said.

Nicki says she has always been a fan of the show - which is now entering its 12th season - and remembers when Jordin Sparks won the sixth series. "I remember watching American Idol in the first season and feeling inspired. I spoke to Jordin Sparks the other day and here she is starring in a movie [Sparkle] and I said to her, 'I remember watching you and picking up my phone,'" she said, speaking at the American Idol press conference.

Kim Kardashian Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell adores Kim Kardashian. The music mogul is a huge fan of the reality TV star - whose sister Khloe is in the running to be the new host of The X Factor - as he loves her "naughty side" and insists she should be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "She's very cute and has a naughty side. I adore her. They shouldn't have denied her a star on the Walk of Fame," he said.

Simon also has high praise for Kim's boyfriend Kanye West, calling the hip hop musician an "innovator." He said, "I think he's super-talented and an innovator. He knows what he's doing. Plus he's controversial and I like that."

Shakira and Usher

Usher and Shakira are set to replace Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on The Voice. The pair were recruited to join the fourth season of the singing show after Christina decided to leave to spend time touring and promoting her new album Lotus while Cee Lo is working with NBC on a new show of his own. However, they will both return for season five.

"Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo. The participants on our show benefit from our coaches' expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when they return," said chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt.

Mariah CareyMariah Carey approached Simon Cowell about being a judge on The X Factor.

While the singer has now taken up a role on his former show American Idol, Simon has revealed she was first interested in being a member of this year's new look panel on his talent program. However, the 52-year-old music mogul didn't want her on the series because he didn't think she could be nasty enough to the pop hopefuls.

"Mariah called me about X Factor and I met with her but my main concern was that she might have found it harder on The X Factor than on Idol. Idol is a more gentle show and Mariah is not someone who wants to say no to people," he told In Touch.

Judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left The X Factor after its' debut season in America and were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato for the new series. They are joined by Simon and L.A. Reid.

Lauren Conrad and Kristin CavallariLauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari no longer speak to each other.

The pair had a turbulent relationship when they appeared on reality show The Hills' together and although they briefly reconciled, they now don't have any contact.

"I don't talk to Kristin anymore," Lauren told Us Weekly.

And it seems Kristin - who welcomed son, Camden, into the world last month - is not the only Hills cast member Lauren doesn't speak to. Audrina Patridge also revealed her relationship with Lauren ended as soon as the reality TV show finished. "I don't really talk to Lauren or see her at all. I think there was a little bit of a falling out. We kind of went our separate ways. The show brought us together and without that show, we all kind of go back to our own thing," Audrina said.

Demi Lovato at 'The X Factor' premiereDemi Lovato was slammed for her use of auto-tune on The X Factor last night.

The "Skyscraper" hitmaker had agreed with fellow judge Simon Cowell when she criticized pop hopeful Shawn Armenta telling him perhaps a singing career wasn't for him. "A lot of people work really, really hard for their dreams, but it's not meant for everybody," she said. The 50-year-old wannabe responded by saying, "That's why you use auto-tune and I don't."

New judge Britney Spears marked her debut in a big way, challenging music mogul Simon for his position as harshest judge. She leaped to the defense of Demi, telling Shawn, "I feel uncomfortable with you even staring at me." The 30-year-old pop superstar heavily criticized performers throughout the auditions, telling fitness instructor Amy Gibson that she was "kind of bad."

Britney SpearsBritney Spears finds judging on X Factor "electrifying."

The "Hold It Against Me" hitmaker - who joined the show alongside Demi Lovato after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were sacked after one season - admits she was terrified when she first signed up but eventually got into the rhythm of the talent search. "I was really nervous. You have all these people behind you and you know they're rooting on you. It's a really exciting, electrifying thing to do," she said, speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Speaking about her judging style, Britney says she learns from the show's head judge Simon Cowell and always tries to be honest. "I used constructive criticism. I learned from the best. I prefer to be honest. I think that's the best way to go. I wouldn't want to be told something and then waste seven years of my life. I feel like it's the thing to do," she added.

However, Simon - who judged the UK version of the show before heading up the US adaptation - was shocked at how quick she made her decisions about wannabe pop stars. "I've never heard someone say no to contestants to quickly in my entire life."
