Dwight's WorkspaceFans of The Office should mark their calendar for July 13th.  No, that’s not the day Dwight sells the Schrutte Family Beet Farm and moves in with his “undercover” girlfriend Angela.  It’s the day you’ll be able to get Webisodes of the office.  The former volunteer sheriff’s deputy kept a close watch on his flock as they taped 10 online-only episodes to air online during the summer.

What you’ll see is all new material that will bring some of the show’s supporting players front and center, like when the Dunder Mifflin accounting staff searches for a stash of cash that’s gone missing from the Scranton office.  The Web site for The Office is probably one of the most on-line savvy fan sites out there as far as television shows go including video clips, blogs and office inspired video games. You need to make sure you’re not drinking anything if you click on the fake public service announcements because it will come out your nose you’ll be laughing so hard.  They are those NBC “The More You Know” type PSA with the classic office spin.  They are a must see, since many of them have never aired on TV and are only available on-line.

Jeff Goldblum Raines NBC has given Jeff Goldblum the opportunity to take the Raines and portray a cop who sees dead people in its upcoming paranormal series. It is planned to be a companion to the network’s other moderate hit, Medium. The Pennsylvania born actor might bring new life to this “after life” idea the network keeps trying to sell. Raines promises an innovative police drama that mixes in a bit of humor with a pinch of intrigue. Goldblum will play Michael Raines, an eccentric LAPD detective who has a peculiar gift that causes him to revisit some of his own demons while solving his cases. Cool! Hey he has seen aliens and dinosaurs, what’s a few ghosts?

Jessica Alba MTV Music AwardsSweet, sizzlin’, and sexy…Jessica Alba possesses many an asset that both women and men admire. Due to the popularity of this television/movie star, MTV likely made a good choice in naming her as host of their popular annual music awards show. Of course, Alba doesn’t really have any hosting or comedy experience…but will it matter? Even music haters will probably tune in, in the hopes of catching a glimpse of her in a bikini.

Alba (also a three-time nominee this year) is confident and looking forward to her duties: “It’s always a crazy, fun show, and I can’t wait to be right in the middle of the action,” the 25-year-old actress said Monday in a statement to The Associated Press.

MTV has gone all out in securing hosts for this awards show in the past, and most have boasted more comedy street cred than Alba. Just how important is the host when it comes to awards shows? Are the nominees the main attraction? What do you think: was hiring Alba a wise decision? Will you be tuning in to watch this Dark Angel in action?

Charlie SheenApparently. Although the star of the popular sitcom Two and A Half Men has long been known for his bad boy ways, he’s claiming that his wife, Denise Richards, is much, much, worse.

In response to a restraining order filed by the seemingly angelic Richards, Sheen alleges that his marriage is absolutely miserable…and it’s all his wife’s fault. In a scathing interview on Entertainment Tonight, Sheen responds to his wife’s allegations that he is addicted to painkillers, gambles away loads of money online, and is quite perverted, continually surfing Internet porn sites. Ouch!

According to Sheen, it’s all a pack of lies. He says, “It is a reaction to a failed marriage, a reaction to some twisted desire, real or imagined, to hurt, to punish, to discredit, to completely torpedo, to undermine my perception as a responsible father…I find that as unacceptable as anything I’ve ever encountered.”

Oh, boy. This is going to be one ugly divorce. Should make for pretty good TV.

Saved by The BellZap2it has confirmed some shocking news today; the late eighties/early nineties cheesefest Saved By the Bell will join the Adult Swim line-up, known for its wild and eclectic programming. We’re all for originality, but…Saved By the Bell?

Seems like the show is being added simply because many Adult Swim staffers carry fond memories of Zack Morris and the gang. In case you were in a coma during the show’s heyday, it follows the adventures of a group of very well-scrubbed, over-acting teens trying to get through high school with as much silliness as possible. But it wasn’t all bad: it did launch stars Elizabeth Berkly and Mark-Paul Gosselaar into fame with Showgirls and NYPD Blue, respectively.

Even longer-time fans will remember that Saved By the Bell was a spin-off of Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which starred Hayley Mills and followed several of the characters through middle school. How sad is it that I knew that without having to look it up?

Fans of Adult Swim aren’t impressed, though, judging by the flaming comments on message boards, so it’s in doubt whether Saved By the Bell will survive its two-week trial.

Sure, TV is filled with ghosts and aliens and even scrupulous lawyers, but this has got to be the strangest thing we’ve heard in a long, long, time.

Description

Fans decried the sudden cancellation of the CBS ‘dramedy’ Love Monkey, starring the delightfully talented (and may we say, extremely adorable) Tom Cavanagh. Cavnagh’s character, a record producer in his thirties, faced the perils of the business, life in the city, and the quest for true love, head-on.

With its unique blend of touching emotion and outlandish views of societal quirks, Love Monkey quickly became a favorite of television addicts everywhere. CBS pulled the show after only three episodes. The network claimed they made the decision due to low ratings, but three episodes? The show never even got the chance to succeed!

But take heart: VH1 is picking up the series, and will air the complete first season beginning Tuesday, April 18th.

Whether you already love it or missed it the first time, here’s your chance to enjoy a great show. Let’s just say…you’d have to be bananas to miss out on Love Monkey!
