Brian Austin Green in Desperate Housewives

Brian Austin Green was able to win over Vanessa Marcil and (new wife) Megan Fox, but what kind of effect will he have on Marcia Cross?

In the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives, the former 90210 star will play a handyman hired by Bree (Cross) to work on her home. That tattooed character will not only catch the eye of the redhead, but also the eye of new Wisteria Lane resident: Ugly Betty‘s Vanessa Williams.

“Suddenly by episode 4 they’re both going after him,” executive producer Bob Daly teased.

Season 7 of Housewives will debut on September 26.

Mary Hart-30 Rock will be throwing in a Saturday Night Live-esque twist this fall. On October 14, actors from the NBC comedy will do two live primetime tapings—one for each coast.

-Mary Hart has announced that she will leave Entertainment Tonight after completing her 30th year with the program. It’s believed Lara Spencer, host of The Insider, will eventually take over her spot.

-You knew she couldn’t keep away for long. Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell will once again return to daytime with a new show next year. The program will air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN.

-Can’t think of a better show title for Cougar Town? Well, neither can the producers. Although the comedy is considered to be an ensemble program, the ABC series will be keeping its name.

-Actor Jeff Goldblum has decided to leave Law & Order: Criminal Intent after two years with the program. “Uncertainty” about the show’s future reportedly played a part in his decision.

  • The Good Guys (FOX, 9pm):  “A crime family dispatches an assassin to kill a man in the Witness Protection Program after Dan accidentally exposes the man’s identity.” He forgot to adjust his privacy settings to “Friends Only.”
  • The Closer (TNT, 9pm):  “Provenza stumbles into a compromising situation, as is his habit, when he romances a flight attendant on company time—-then discovers a dead body in her condominium.” It was too big to stuff into the overhead compartment.
