On Gear Live: iPhone 16e Review: Apple Just Killed the Budget iPhone

We've already seen what a fully-suited George Clooney looks like in bed with Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet.

In 2011, it will be James Marsden's turn to hang out with Cameron and Mitchell ... in a hot tub. From the looks on their faces, it didn't take much -- or a shirt -- to enchant the couple.

Keep an eye out for the hunky actor when the comedy returns to ABC on January 5.

Richard Chamberlain on Brothers & Sisters

"It’s complicated. There’s still a tremendous amount of homophobia in our culture. It’s regrettable, it’s stupid, it’s heartless, and it’s immoral, but there it is. For an actor to be working is a kind of miracle, because most actors aren’t, so it’s just silly for a working actor to say, 'Oh, I don’t care if anybody knows I’m gay' — especially if you’re a leading man. Personally, I wouldn’t advise a gay leading man–type actor to come out. ... Despite all the wonderful advances that have been made, it’s still dangerous for an actor to talk about that in our extremely misguided culture. Look at what happened in California with Proposition 8. Please, don’t pretend that we’re suddenly all wonderfully, blissfully accepted."

-Openly gay actor Richard Chamberlain discouraging other gay actors to come out of the closet. (Chamberlain can currently be seen playing Ron Rifkin's love interest on Brothers & Sisters.)

Fans of both Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel might have noticed something unusual on their broadcasts recently: similar sketches.

Two weeks ago, Jimmy Kimmel Live was first to air a mashup of Sarah Palin's Alaska with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. (Watch the video after the jump.) That clip was unfortunately followed up two weeks later by a Conan sketch that closely resembed the first.

In response to the snafu, O'Brien issued an apology to the competition -- and made other revelations -- in the message above.

Matt Dillon in Takers

Matt Dillon might have thought there was something about Mary, but at one point he thought there was something about Phil Dunphy's wife, too.

It was recently announced that the Takers star has been tapped to appear in a future episode of Modern Family. Matt will play a former boyfriend of Claire’s who has developed a friendship with her mother (actress Shelley Long).

No date has yet been announced for Dillon’s arrival.

Boardwalk Empire

The Golden Globe contenders for the 2010-11 season were officially announced Tuesday morning in Beverly Hills by Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood.

Last year's Best Comedy Series winner, Glee, lead all television programs with a total of five nominations. Five series -- 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, The Good Wife and Mad Men -- tied for second place with three nods each.

Here are some of the notable omissions/inclusions from this year's list of nominees:

  • The Good Wife was the only non-cable series to be recognized for Best Drama.
  • The Walking Dead replaced that other horror series (True Blood), giving AMC two nominations in the Drama category.
  • The limitations of the Best Supporting Actor category meant only two acting noms for the cast of Modern Family.
  • Jennifer Love Hewitt has found herself pitted against Claire Danes ... and Dame Judi Dench.

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards -- hosted again by Ricky Gervais -- will air Jan. 16 on NBC.

(You can find the full list of nominees after the jump. Click here for the film nominations.)

Eliza Dushku-Former Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku has already backed out of a pilot for TNT. "Hey guys! News to report~ We have mutually & AMICABLY decided to part ways on Bird Dog due to creative differences. No worries/fears/tears," she wrote on Twitter.

-Portia DeGeneres has officially turned down an opportunity to be on Dancing with the Stars. The actress was reportedly asked to compete with a same-sex partner.

-The season finale of Walking Dead killed in the ratings on Sunday night. The episode -- which attracted 6 million viewers -- had the highest numbers ever for a basic cable series in the 18-49 demo.

-The weekend wasn't so bright for David Hasselhoff. A&E's The Hasselhoffs debuted to 718,000 viewers. In comparison the network's other new program, Storage Wars, recently opened to 2 million viewers.
