Tuesday Ratings: Larger Audience for Second Debate

While it didn’t draw Palin/Biden-sized numbers, last night’s Presidential debate did improve over the first. In total, approximately 63.2 million watched the town hall event. That’s up 21% from Debate #1 (which drew 52.4 million). Of all the networks, ABC attracted the most viewers for its political coverage.
8pm
- NCIS (15.7 million, 3.6/10 in 18-49) was down 1.8 million.
- Approximately 13.4 million watched saw Rocco DiSpirito saved on Dancing with the Stars (3.2/9).
- The Biggest Loser: Families (7.5 million, 3.0/8) was up a notch.
- A House* repeat (2.6/7) pulled in 6.3 million.
- 90210 (3.1 million, 1.6/4) did about the same.

- Nearly 11 million caught Obama and McCain on NBC.
- CBS had 9.4 million watching the debate on its network.
- About 5.3 million watched the town hall meeting on FOX.
- Privileged (2.3 million, 1.1/3) added on 400,000.
10pm
- ABC‘s post-debate analysis kept 9.9 million glued.
- Approximately 8.4 million watched NBC dissect the events.
- CBS had 8 million talking.
