Tuesday Ratings: Idol Has the Luck of the Irish

Despite a 15% drop in viewers from last week (was the holiday and/or country music to blame?), American Idol remained the most-watched show on Tuesday night.
8pm
- Approximately 21.5 million went walkin’ after midnight with American Idol (8.0/22 in 18-49).
- NCIS (15.5 million, 3.1/9) hit a season low in viewers.
- The Biggest Loser: Couples (8.8 million, 3.2/9) lost 500,000.
- Dancing with the Stars* (1.7/5) recapped 8.1 million.
- Reaper (1.9 million, 0.8/2) slipped by 300,000.

- The Mentalist (15.4 million, 3.2/8 in 18-49) also hit a season low.
- Nearly 12.4 million said goodbye to Belinda Carlisle on Dancing with the Stars (2.7/7).
- 90210* (764,000, 0.3/1) fell by 236,000.
10pm
- Without a Trace (12 million, 2.5/7 in 18-49) was up 1.8 million from last week.
- Law & Order: SVU (10.6 million, 3.4/10) was off by 400,000.
- Primetime: What Would You Do? (7.8 million, 2.3/7) improved by 2.7 million.
