Thursday Ratings: Big Sendoff for CSI’s Grissom

After weeks of buildup, William Petersen finally made his grand exit last night. The farewell episode attracted CSI’s largest audience since 2007’s premiere and gave CBS an easy double win.
8pm
- An early CSI* (3.1/8 in 18-49) got 13.7 million warmed up.
- A My Name is Earl block (one original, one repeat) averaged 6.6 million (2.4/6).
- Back-to-back Scrubs* episodes averaged in 5.7 million (1.8/5).
- Kitchen Nightmares* (1.6/4) dished up 4.1 million.
- Smallville (4.3 million, 1.8/5) had its best audience since November.

- CSI (24.3 million, 6.6/16 in 18-49) dominated the evening.
- Grey’s Anatomy (13.1 million, 5.3/12) fell by 600,000.
- The Office (4.4/10) had 8.4 million laughing; 30 Rock (6.6 million, 3.2/8) improved by 26%.
- The season finale of Kitchen Nightmares (2.0/5) catered to 4.4 million.
- Supernatural (3 million, 1.2/3) was down 11% from its last new episode.
10pm
- Eleventh Hour (15.5 million, 3.4/9) had its second largest audience of the season.
- Private Practice (8.7 million, 3.3/8) was down a few notches.
- ER (7 million, 2.7/7) slid by 300,000.
