Wednesday Ratings: World Series a Winner for FOX

Although the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays saw smaller numbers than last year’s matchup, Game 1 of the World Series still hit a home run. Last night’s kickoff gave FOX wins in both the viewers and the demos.
8pm
- Approximately 14.6 million watched the Phillies go 1-0 in the World Series (4.8/13 in 18-49).
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (8 million, 2.4/7) picked up 300,000; Gary Unmarried (7.8 million, 2.5/7) did about the same.
- Knight Rider (7.2 million, 2.2/6) had a 400,000 skid.
- Pushing Daisies (5.7 million, 1.9/5) pushed 600,000 away.
- America’s Next Top Model (4.4 million, 2.1/6) was up 1.4 million over the recap show.

- Criminal Minds (14.7 million, 4.0/10 in 18-49) was down 1.2 million.
- Private Practice (7.8 million, 3.0/8) added on 500,000.
- Deal or No Deal (1.9/5) had 7.6 million playing along.
- The premiere of Stylista (2.5 million, 1.2/3) lost a good chunk of its lead-in.
10pm
- CSI: NY (14.4 million, 3.9/10 in 18-49) shrunk by 1.5 million.
- Dirty Sexy Money (5.9 million, 2.0/5) remained steady.
- Lipstick Jungle (4.2 million, 1.6/4) fell by 400,000.
