VIDEO: Cookie Monster Wins a Spot on Saturday Night Live

Cookie Monster's campaign to get a gig on Saturday Night Live did not crumble.

Although the Sesame Street character was not asked to host (yet), he did win a spot alongside this past weekend's host: Jeff Bridges.

Watch the blue guy sing "Silver Bells" -- and get excited over his favorite treat -- during the opening monologue.
