Betty White may be “scared to death” about her upcoming Saturday Night Live gig, but she didn’t appear that way during yesterday’s Ellen show.
During Monday’s broadcast, White admitted that she had been asked to host SNL three other times before, but she had always turned the producers down because the program is “so New York” and she’s not. So when this whole “silly Facebook thing started” and she was asked again, she was pleasantly surprised.

The 88-year-old also said she was shocked to learn how popular her Super Bowl Snickers commercial had become. The ad is even being aired in other parts of the world like Africa and central Europe. “Football season’s over…don’t they know that?” she questioned.
So just how will Betty do once her SNL broadcast finally comes around? Well, based on the hilarious open she does here (and the extensive training Ellen DeGeneres puts her through at the end of this clip), she’s going to kill it.
