Tuesday Ratings: Idol Wins the Gold Medal

High-flying snowboard action on NBC couldn’t keep the singing voices at FOX quiet. Last night’s American Idol managed to beat the Winter Olympics coverage at its own ratings game.

- Approximately 23.6 million watched the nail-biting drama on American Idol (9.1/22 in 18-49).
- Winter Olympics coverage (5.4/14 in 18-49) pulled in 20.4 million.
- NCIS* (2.3/6) scored 11.6 million.
- Lost* (1.5/4) recapped 4.2 million
- 90210* (900,000, 0.4/1) did about the same.

- Lost (9.8 million, 4.5/10 in 18-49) lost 1.3 million.
- NCIS: LA* (1.8/4) turned in 9.1 million.
- Melrose Place* (820,000, 0.4/1) added on 900,000.

- The Good Wife* (1.4/4 in 18-49) rounded up 7.8 million.
- The Forgotten (1.7/5) discovered 5.1 million.
