Thursday Ratings: Survivor Scare Draws Viewers

It might not have been the way Russell Swan wanted to leave, but he definitely got our attention. Last night’s scary episode of Survivor picked up its best numbers of the season. Unfortunately, CBS’ other repeats gave ABC wins in both the viewers and the demos yesterday.
8pm
- Survivor: Samoa (12.9 million, 4.0/11 in 18-49) added on 1 million.
- Game 5 of the ALCS (3.3/9) scored 10.3 million.
- FlashForward (9.8 million, 3.0/9) picked up 700,000.
- Community (5.2 million, 1.9/6) did about the same; Parks and Recreation (5 million, 2.1/6) improved by 300,000.
- The Vampire Diaries* (2.3 million, 0.9/3) lost 1.6 million.

9pm
- Grey’s Anatomy (14.7 million, 5.2/14 in 18-49) had the best numbers of the night.
- CSI* (10 million, 2.1/6) fell by 5.1 million.
- The Office (8.5 million, 4.2/11) and 30 Rock (6.7 million, 3.2/8) both scooped up 400,000 more.
- Supernatural* (1.8 million, 0.8/2) gave up 800,000.
10pm
- The Mentalist* (11.3 million, 2.7/8 in 18-49) shrunk by 3.1 million.
- Private Practice (10 million, 3.7/10) had 400,000 less.
- The Jay Leno Show (5 million, 1.6/5) was down 200,000.
